wait a minute, Baywatch clues, didn't that one girl on Baywatch used to be on a show called Charles In Charge? Maybe Barkley comes out of retirement, or we sign Scott Baio. [IMG]

If Phoenix is the team that called us, it is to unload Penny's salary, imo. They don't really need him with the emergence of Marion and Delk, as much as they need defense. No way they give up Marion...no freaking way.

    Has anyone seen my bunny!

heyp... the scarey thing about phoenix is that they should also want to get rid of googs.

but who's in the market for googs or penny? how could we facilitate such a deal when the bait is something that phoenix might want more than they would want dream?

    bizarro.

Penny is completly useless to us. We would have to be talking 3-way deal here.

I remember throwing around the idea of a mutombo signing next season and it met with mixed results.

Truth is, he might be old, but you need size to survive in the west coast, and mutombo is the only one who slows shaq down somewhat. His durability is amazing, as the man almost NEVER misses games. And he wouldn´t need ANY shots at all. Talk about a non-ball demanding player.

It´s not that bad an idea when i think about it, but i just don´t see it happening.

Atlanta can get a lot more from both NY and Phoenix.

No matter how hard i try i always get back to the Vancouver scenario. It´s about picks and clearing cap. It has to be us! It has to!

Reef wouldn´t go to atlanta. They (vancouver) don´t want another marquee player, or they wouldn´t be dumping the one they already have.

I remeber someone saying, would Chicago take reeves if they got bibby, and would they send Reef our way?

    This is driving me nuts!

Is there a NBA player named Yasmin?!?
I threw out Dream and Anderson for Googs, Dudley and Marion, but Duds sin't the shot blocker/rebounder that it seems Rudy is looking for. How about Dream for Mutumbo and Maloney? That corrects the mistake of us releasing Maloney but having his salary count against our cap for the next four years [IMG]

On the other hand, if we did get mutombo, we wouldn´t be giving up our shot at webber, since mutombo himself will be a free agent at the end of the season.

If we got Reef, say bye to webber and say hello to negotiantions in hopes of keeping Mo.

    He.

    Is this fun or what?

I GOT IT!! Walt to LA for Horry!!

Doc said he thought of a Baywatch chick. One stand out in all of our minds for being somewhat "whorry". Correcting the mistake of trading a good defensive 3 and 4 with range.

    Yeah, that's gotta be it!

If we make a deal and Dudley is the only big man we get I am going to be very dissapointed. What exactly is he good for? Maybe giving up fouls, and missing free throws.

Morning Francis3...see you got up bright and early [IMG].

heypee-to think we almost got Marion for Cato this summer, what shame.

HEB-We must be thinking on the same wave length, I just edited my post thinking of Phoenix.

For laughs I made a 3 way between us, Phoenix and Vancouver, probably wouldn't work because of the liability of Googs. http://www.realgm.com/tradechecker/checktrade.php?tradeid=56864 Enjoy.

A team that wants Shandon/Hakeem wants defense obviously.
The worst defense in the league is Golden State...nah. 2nd worst is Denver...what do we think of guys like Posey, Abdul-Wahad, and Raef Lafrentz? They don't even come close though, Denver would have to include Van Exel or McDyess (hah). A freaky 4 way with Exel going to Chicago, SAR/Reeves coming here, Olajuwon/Shandon to Denver, Raef/Fizer/TAW/picks to Denver? I got that to work the first time (insert Pack, Lenard, and Drew to VAN).

What about Indiana? Oysterscrub demanded a trade in Utah? Ah, the possibilities!

Of course, Shandon and Hakeem are both free agents. Isn't there some team in Texas that's looking at cap space this offseason, and trying to contend this year? They've got that owner, what's his name?

Mcdyess would be sweet...but once again he is a 4, and that would bring up questions about Mo. The guy we get is most likely to be a 3 or 5, of course. Mcdyess could, and probably should, be on our team now. But no, we had to go for Pippen and ended up with Cato and Walt Williams. Think of the lineup...
    C- Dream, Collier
    PF- Mcdyess, KT
    SF- Shandon, Langhi, Bull
    SG- Cat, Shandon
    PG- Steve, Mooch

    O well...carry on

When you brace yourself for something, you have two options - one, it's a great present, some chick likes you, got a HUGE raise, etc... or two - it's an earthquake, a big bad earthquake!

Don't sound so cheery all the time...you never know when she's gonna break up with you for someone else!! [IMG]

managing expectations I see doc. [IMG]

Just remember, earthquakes don't kill people, buildings kill people.

For that reason, I don't buy your threat(s). The only reason why the team would go south is if Francis demanded a trade. Dream can't play hardball. Dream can't put the team in a bad situation anymore.

I wouldn't mind getting TskTsk in a deal with Pheonix this team could always use a foreign big man.

    .....too many metaphors.....

Which is it? Or is it one of those things that could be REALLY good, or REALLY bad (ie: Juwan Howard, taking Reeves with SAR, etc.) Obviously if it was really good, you wouldn't be reminding us of brace yourself...or would you?

    ANOTHER Doc Rocket sighting!

That sounds like the deal that fell through, but i´m not quite sure.

Doc is sounding like an Oracle who speaks through riddles and needs some sort of Prophet to provide the general people (us) with a version that our mortal minds can hope to compreehend.

So...we're either going to get a bigtime player, a couple of new power dancers, or the more likely extend Shandon and/or Mo's contracts. Notice the HUGE in the sentence. What would an earthquake in basketball team be...maybe a trade involving some of our most important players...nah.

Glad you decided to post this morning Doc, a lot of people were around here late last night hoping you would come [IMG].

Did everyone forget that Clutch said that a "deal" was going down, and NOT a trade?
