As much as Rudy likes langhi he can´t possibly plan to start him right away. He´s had next to zero playing time so far. Which means that the trade has to include a 3. Looks like Reeves/Reef if you ask me. I can´t believe that rudy would trade Anderson, who is doing so well currently at the 3 if the trade didn´t include someone who outplays him clearly at the 3, meaning what? Shareef. Or is it Indiana? Croshere (he can play the 3) and something else? But croshere is not worth giving up on Anderson. Sheed? (used to play the 3 with grant at the 4) Portland would not give up their all-star. Even though they have a logjam with Dale Davis and Kemp. Who else? Phoenix? Thanos, I doubt the Rockets shopped Anderson, but other teams have a way of demanding players to close a deal. Rudy is going to give Langhi his shot. We aren't going for a SF, imo. I don't see why you think that. We need REBOUNDING man, and improved defense, especially if Anderson is in the trade. IMO, any trade is all about improving the frontline, and continuing to go young. Our need for a SF is highly overrated on this BBS. Rudy has never stated that. And in fact, in the paper today, he again mentioned the need to get a big man to "erase mistakes". Trades can be explained right in front of your face, and you may not see them. It is like Invisible Bunnies can talk but no one listens!!!! This is fun. Mutumbo sure does erase mistakes, and Shandon happens to be from Georgia (not sure if he's from Atlanta?) Correction to be made=Dermarr Johnson? But why would any team not gearing for the playoffs want Shandon and Hakeem? A quick check says Hardaway, Marion, Dudley, TskTsk from Phoenix for Hakeem/Shandon/K. Thomas works, but that's probably getting too much from Phoenix. No way would we take Googs. Hmmm. A big man to "erase mistakes" sounds like a shot blocking center. I´m not aware of any shot blocking centers besides Mutombo who are on the trading block. But it just doesn´t make sense. We wouldn´t give up that much for Mutombo. Hp, a 3 like Reef or Marion would improve our rebounding tremendously. Funny how at this point the wizard has become completly expendable. I hope we ship him out of here ASAP. The need for a 3 may be overrated, but if we ship olajuwon we would still have some form of center in Cato. If we ship Anderson and with Walt being in the doghouse (where i hope he stays, BTW) it sounds like too much weight to put in the shoulders of a rookie with no PT so far. Just my two cents. But if we are talking Dream here, we´re talking big salaries. Phoenix would have to give up a lot more than Marion to get the deal done. They have been unwilling to do so with Atlanta to get Mutombo, who is arguably in far better shape than Dream is. The only difference is Dream´s willingness to play for a lower salary, while Mutumbo will demand MAX.
