Baron's only weakness is his free throw shooting. He's unstoppable in the open court and when guarded one-on-one, even by quicker or taller players. You have to double team him to slow him down.

Marbury doesn't play selfish, only people who don't watch him play and read biased media crap say that.

The Suns have no low post presence at all and it is all on Marbury to break down the defense to get Big Jake open dunks or Marion open looks. Marbury is always getting at least double-teamed.

    He still averages 8+ apg.

Marbury also played with bad ankles the whole season and harmstring problems, which is why he had surgery on both ankles right after the season.

    Top 10

1.Payton (but he is almost over the hill)

    2. Kidd (best in the open court and better defender than Payton, sucks in the half court offense, which is why he never beat a Western Conference team in the playoffs when he was the ''teamleader''

    3. Stephon Marbury (best scorer and also a very good playmaker, probably the best in the halfcourt set , he doesn't push the ball enough and his defense, although it improved during the season still needs work, people forget he is just 1 day older than Steve Francis)

    4. Baron Davis (bad bad FT shooter, not as good as Marbury getting to the rim but better 3pt shooter)

    5. Steve Francis (probably the PG with the best all around game in the league, but he needs to improve his playmaking skills, Norris averaged more assists than him when given the minutes)

    6. Andre Miller (not as good offensively as Marbury, Francis or Davis and doesn't draw as much attention from the defense, i think his assists are inflated because he has the right guys to put the ball in the hole)

    7. Steve Nash (best shooter, lousy defender)

    8. Mike Bibby (Good shooter, but only this high because of a few playoff games , although he played like a spot-up shooter in the Kings offense , right now just a role player on the Kings)

    9. John Stockton ( getting old and slow)

    10. Nick Van Exel

    Honerable Mentions
    Sam Cassel and others

    1. Kidd (Why? I thought the Hornets would KILL the Nets, even without Mashburn. Kidd proved me wrong. Can't we do a joint MVP?)
    2. Payton (While not a "true point" he's still making All-Defensive teams, and he's become more unselfish this season. Maybe it's the new "old" uniforms )
    3. Miller (Who? What was that? Wesley Person?Ilgauskas? What?)
    4. Stockton (Do you realize that he's TWICE as old as Tony Parker?)
    5. Davis (He has a lot of help, but he has one of the best drives in the NBA, easily.)
    6. Francis (Umm... where's Francis on all you guys' lists? Do you hate him that much? I think those of you who put Billups, Parker, Tinsley, and Alvin Williams ahead of Francis need a CAT scan. Give me a break.)
    7. Nash (I know, Bibby just made him look rather silly, but Bibby can't carry a team (yet). Nash can.
    8. Brandon (Cryin' shame he got injured. The Wolves might have actually made it out of the first round. That guy has mad mid-range game.)
    9. Bibby (His stock just went up. It's funny: all the other Kings have made the playoffs, Bibby hasn't. Has he just not realized it yet? Wait until next year, maybe he'll begin choking with the rest of the Kings.)
    10. Mark Jackson (Okay, okay, I'm biased. I love that guy. Sue me. He's still a great distributor, and he posts up! What more do you want?)

Cassell gets an honorable mention. He's still good, and he's a former Rocket . Unfortunatley, Mason really screwed up all the Bucks. Oh well. I could see why some might put Marbury there, but really... he's not a 1, he's a short 2. Plus, I'm still too busy laughing that the Suns traded Kidd for him. Van Exel also gets an honorable mention, but I'm still laughing at the Nuggets for making THAT trade, even though they unloaded salaries... it was the most lopsided trade of the season besides the Brand-Chadler trade (what the hell was that?)

How can anyone here rank Biby ahead of Francis???

    FRANCIS BIBBY
    PPG 21.6 PPG 13.7
    RPG 7.0 RPG 2.8
    APG 6.4 APG 5.0
    SPG 1.3 SPG 1.09
    BPG .44 BPG .19
    FG% 41.7 FG% .453
    FT% .773 FT% .803
    3P% .324 3P% .370
Francis's stats are better in almost every catagorey, including assists. Everyone says that Bibby is a pass first pg, but he only averaged 5 assists per game, with Webber and Peja on his team. That is said. Francis averaged 6.4 assists per game, and his team wasn't even close to being has good as the Kings. If Bibby was traded straight up for Francis, the Rockets would be worse then they were last season, and the Kings would be much better.

That's because everyone in the Kings lineup is a good passer, and they aren't as reliant on one person to do the distributing. Bibby's assist numbers were very good in Vancouver, where he was the only playmaker on the team. Parker is somewhat of the same, but in a different area. Most of the Spurs assists come off of Duncan and Robinson passing out of inside double-teams. The Spurs don't use the pick and roll that much, and since most of the offense comes from the interior, it's hard for any PG on the Spurs to rack up a lot of assists.

As previously mentioned, Bibby's assist numbers are skewed because he plays on the one team in the NBA where everyone is a passer. His numbers in Vancouver show that if a team needs him to be the primary distributor, he is fully capable of doing so. The true test of a point guard's efficiency is in his assist/turnover ratio, and even with Bibby's skewed numbers, he is still well ahead of Francis there.

The points per game, to me, are more representative of the team that the two play on. Bibby has a higher field goal percentage, higher free throw percentage, and a higher three point percentage, along with a better assist/turnover ratio. He's definitely the more efficient PG, and this year's playoffs proved to me that he has the capability to score and create with the top PG's when he has to. His lackluster numbers are more of a product of the balanced team he plays on. That being said, Bibby and Francis are both close... but Bibby is a remarkable player. I'm not sure how anyone wouldn't have him in the top 5 point guards.

please tell why Baron is better than Steve, only # of assists??
35% 3pts shooter is not that good(but nash's 46% spts shooting is pretty scary)
