The only thing that bothers me about Harden is his penchant to not run back on defense, especially if he feels he was slighted in some way. Btw, the thread only got unbearable when folks decided to unload on the OP. Other than that, good read.

Is that really harden or the system. There have been numerous threads regarding the absence of the midrange game and also the post game. I'm seeing Harden's improvement, but I'm not seeing any midrange jumpers from him, and I'd like to attribute that to the offensive system. It's also only now that I am seeing Lin shooting that midrange consistently. Before he didn't shoot it, then he barely shot it, and now, I'm seeing more than 4, but that might have something to do with his better play, increased minutes and usg rate. I think the only player that has consistently been shooting the midrange w.o care is Delfino, but he gets a pass cuz he thinks he's Kobe.
James Harden once took me out for a nice fish dinner and never called me back. On the other hand, Jeremy Lin killed a guy with a trident ... so, you know, 6 of one and a half-dozen of the other.
seems like its hardens choice since his athletic ability isn't really that great. Because he barely jumps when he shoots its becoming a liability and the reason why defenders like tony allen make him struggle so bad. We need a athletic scoring guy in the lineup and harden isn't that guy.
Didn't take the time to read through this whole thread. Harden has some growing to do in some areas no doubt but without him lets face it, the Rox would be far from relevant and in the lottery once again. He's just 23 closing out his first regular season in the NBA of being "the man" on a team he's on the verge of getting into the playoffs after a 3 year absence. Harden is only going to get better and he is already damn good. The two main things he needs to improve on is of course defensive intensity consistently and a mid-range game. I don't think he will ever be an elite defender but he does need to have consistent effort on the defensive end.
Why the hell do so many people hate Harden so much?!? Holy ****, this team may not win 25 games if we don't have him. I have never seen a thread full of such clueless, naive, ignorant posters in my entire life. It doesn't even seem like it's just the LOF's. My lord, there are WAY more HOH's than I could have ever imagined! For those of you who have put time and energy into defending Harden and clowning these trolls, THANK YOU. Everyone else can GTFO. This is Clutchfans, a website devoted to the Houston Rockets. I realize there are going to be fans of other teams and whatnot, but this has reached and absurd level.
List of things I don't like about Harden: 1) he's not signed for a decade 2) he doesn't have a time machine in his beard, so he can't already get to off-season and practice on his D 3) he needs to join the team tweeting about chipotle 4) the lack of Phoenix medical staff in his pocket to fix his knee/ankle already 5) ...?
lol right? the OP's name is so obvious so it must be LOF right? it doesn't ever occur to anybody here that he may be a LOH with another account to troll LOF's?
yes of course and that is exactly why it is not good idea to idolize our heroes...llike lakers fan who idolize kobe and wont admit that he contributed greatly to bad season LA is having.... i dont see anyones here hating on harden but people are irritated by some lacks in his game...again maybe those lacks are not on harden but he is playing the way management ordered him to play...perhaps they want to make superstar of him and ordered him to play isoheroball, that he may relax on defence and similar... i dont think harden is selfish, on contrary, but he is ordered to play in such a way
He looks to get fouled way to much. Prime example is the game winning shot vs the Spurs. Made the shot way harder than it should be and the refs aren't going to call a foul in that situation. Thankfully the ball went in.
Harden is a super star. For that he will get his fare share of blame but all this talk of his athleticism is completely bogus. Do you realize that Lin gets knocked down on every drive to the hole? Thus causing his FGP to drop. Harden is strong and athletic enough to get fouls as well as make the contested basket. Lin gets handchecked and he's on the ground crying foul. Plus I have never seen a dude so physically tired after only one half of basketball. Jeremy Lin and James Harden are the two worst defenders we have at least Harden gets a pass due to his skill in offense, where does Lin get a pass? His 6 assist average comparable to hardens? His 16 pts a game shooting 15 footers that are not above 40%? I love Lin in the team but there is obviously a bias here because there is not half a page of negative Lin threads.
This thread sucks. Hes the reason we're even in the playoffs this year. Hes young and has so much time to improve on his weaknesses.
The only thing I don't like is his defense. Anyways, be grateful that he is with us and that we're not discussing about the flaws of a player of Demar DeRozan's or Kevin Martin's caliber. Teams are tanking year in year out and are still failing to get what has just fallen into our laps.
SMH, might as well include everyone on the team, why just limit it to one person? Harden - pathetic effort on D at times, gets too iso heavy, questionable shot selection at times Lin - r****ded decision making, stands in the corner doing nothing, unforced turnovers, inconsistent as hell, passes up too many open shots Parsons - Nothing really, just a solid player all around. Though if I had to say something that bothers me about him I guess it would be that he sometimes drives into the paint even when its packed, which usually ends up in a turnover. Asik - Can't finish, poor FT shooting G. Smith - Too many fouls, especially on post situations Delfino - Shoots too much, forces layups on fastbreak situations which always either end up as a brick or a turnover Beverley - Too passive at times, he can drive but its like he doesn't want to. Motiejunas - terrible defense, shoots too much (ESPECIALLY FROM 3) Robinson - Undersized, terrible defense, poor FT shooter, can't finish Garcia - Shoots too much contested 3s
