Uhh Nobody. They haven't added any players yet, and they haven't been granted an injured player exception to add another player. When Capela comes back I assume Nene moves back to backup, and Harrell slots back in as that energy big who plays late in the 2nd Q, and in the 4th. If they feel the need to sign another big in free agency now, then I assume either Brown or Ennis gets cut, but I doubt that happens at this point. Have to see how the Rockets play the next few weeks. I think, with the way their schedule looks, there won't be any need to sign anyone if Nene and Harrell can stay healthy.
Even with a healthy Capela the Rockets have poor rim protection and defensive rebounding. This why the Warriors aren't as good this season and how the Rockets can get even better: http://www.slamonline.com/news-rumo...iors-defense-just-not-the-same-without-bogut/
Y'all keep making this trade suggestions like Capela is out for the season. We pretty much just need a loaner C right now pending when Capela comes back, don't wanna sign someone long term who would end up getting pissed* about PT after CC comes back (plus the traded player might mess up chemistry). At least that's how I see it.
Anyone interested in Taj Gibson? He's a free agent this summer and fits the Ariza/Beverley mold - defensive-minded, happy to do the dirty work. He could play both the 4 & 5 spots and should be affordable.
i wouldn't want to take on a center if it will eat into next summer's cap space. i'd like to move brewer and KJ for an expiring contract and use that cap space to add another starter level player like we did last summer with gordon/ryno. ideally we'd get a rim protecting big on an expiring contract using brewer and KJ.
Going 3 deep at center is not a problem for this team, especially if the 3rd guy has to be rested so often (Nene). If Rockets trade/sign a quality 5 then Onuaku should be the guy packaged or let go if a center needs to be sacrificed. Personally I would cut Bobby Brown, but that's just my prerogative.
What is this supposed to prove? he can board and do little else? Maybe block a 1.5 D leaguers a game. but the guy has 2.2 TO per game, how do you even do that when you do so little offensively. I stand by what i said, the guy has a long way to go
Been hounding about Rubio every time I see my guy. Always got nothing until last week: Still quite possible but for much more in return-- RR and an ex-Rocket, and cash in exchange for Ariza. This clearly is Jordan Hill. Also, I'd assume Rubio would play with the second unit letting Bev/Harden play in tandem all game. Take it for what it's worth.
You guys are crazy. I just want Montrezl in the game for 35 minutes a night. The dude has freakish potential on our squad. NO THANK YOU to any scrub veteran C's.
"has a long way to go" and "absolute trash" are kinda different statements. He has not been absolute trash in the d-league and in fact he is doing pretty well... in the d-league.
