i regrettably admit this, but, i agree with rocketman95 that Big Brother is good. well, it is potentially good. if they would somehow do away with all the ridiculously stupid challenge games that they do, it would be good. it's a good psychological, and strategic game to watch...seeing everybody's different strategies, and how they plot against and backstab eachother. i am pretty anti-reality tv myself, only because 99% of them suck. but, i'll give most of them a chance. Big Brother 2 was the best reality show i've seen. the winner, will, was the biggest conniving snake in the world, and amazingly weasled his way to win the show. was fun to watch.

also, the grandfather of reality tv, the real world, has definitely dropped off the last few seasons, but, this season, they are redeeming themselves ten-fold. they have finally come to their senses, and put the people on the show who the viewing audience wants to see (sluts, alcoholics, people with anger issues). awesome this season. no more of this token gay guy, toden black guy bullsh*t. this season, they chose to cast anybody with a character flaw that people want to see exposed. low quality, mindless crap? absolutely. but that's just what i'm lookin for.

I think that maybe it isn't the show itself ("Real World") that has changed, but its original audience has matured.

Those of us that watched the original "Real World" episodes 10-12 years ago were of the same age as the cast (maybe younger or a little older as well).

All this time later we've all grown up... many have wives, kids, etc. However the target audience and cast still is comprised of pre-twentysomethings whose only purpose in life is to get piss-drunk and jump from bed to bed...

Perhaps the show has stayed the same, but we've grown up?

    Just something to ponder...

Real World Las Vegas is the worst cast ever. I can't believe how downhill it has gone in the last year.

RR RW Challenge started last week. Puck and David from LA got into it. Guess what? They're both in their 30's.

Ahh, good point. I can't believe I forgot that, seeing as how I actually watched it.

But MTV picks the wackiest people to be on their shows... Maybe those people actually never grow up! :D

But seriously, that was one helluva fight! I still don't know where it sprung from. I know David accused Puck of abusing his own wife, but why did that discussion suddenly occur in Jamaica?

    Wild stuff!

The fight with the two RW:New Orleans girls was pretty bad too. I think Julie is hot and was sad to see her go.

If you add in some has-been celebrities, and a winner-takes-all battle royale, you can get 10 episodes from Fox.

Did anyone see the Surreal Life?

Man, that show blows. But you get to see what a bunch of morons celebrities are. They went to buy groceries and they didn't know what the heck they were doing. Someone said "You mean they tax food?"

I watched it and I thought it was funny to see this eclectic group of "stars" try to share a living space.

Hammer refusing to eat off a naked girl, classic!

Webster seems to have gained about 75 freakin' pounds!

When did Corey Feldman become the poster boy for WHIPPED?

I have no idea who the other two women are (besides Andrea Zucherman)

I might watch it again if nothing else is on TV in that timeslot next week. It brought a few smiles to my face.

I watched during the commercials on Smackdown. I liked how all of the has beens were looking down on the Survivor (I won't make the mistake of watching that show again) chick because she wasn't a real celebrity. They need more Cory Feldmens and Vince Neils and less 90210 and Survivor idiots. At least it is funny to watch the first two interact, a former addict and a current one.

My idea for a reality show (I hope I haven't posted this here before)

Get 10 really fat people and lock them in a Ryan's type resturant with a regular buffet, a dessert buffet, and a salad bar. Make sure the buffet is stocked with lots of fattening foods like fried chicken, pizza, enchiladas, and fettucini alfredo. Give each participant an "allowance". Now, here's the catch. Everything at the regular buffet and dessert buffet is free, but the items at the salad bar must paid for using the allowance. The person that ends up losing the most weight (or perhaps gaining the least weight) wins a cash prize...

Yeah, it had some pretty good moments. And did Webster and Cory ever give a reason for not eating off the hot naked chick? I think they were just following around the alpha male.

Something is wrong with Cory, it looks like he's going to cry more than anyone else in that house.

Overall, what is the point of the show? Unless they get some good fights going then it's just a bunch of people sitting around.

Webster wanted to be "down" with Hammer, I guess.

Cory said he refused to be in the vicinity of a naked girl unless his girlfriend was around. It was funny because first he started saying "I don't even eat dinner until my girlfriend..." then Hammer interrupted and said "You don't eat without your girlfriend around?" and he had to fix himself by saying "Not off a naked chick."

Dude is so whipped beyond belief. I miss the old days of the Feldman I'd see in the news all the time, week long coke binges and having tequila IV'ed into his body! Made me feel better about myself! :D

First episode so it was not a surprise no one got into it. The only "fight" was Gabrielle and Feldman discussing what it means to be vegetarian. Funniest moment was when Neil said he hooked up with Feldman's ex-wife who was a co-star on 90210. I think the twist is the tabloid the house gets everyday. No secret is safe in the house like the Playmate wishing Robin Givens was in the house instead of Jerri (Survivor).

Webster didn't eat out of respect for Hammer. Feldman didn't eat cause his GF wasn't there --> he can't be around semi-nude girls.

Edit - missed drapg's post above - Feldman is whipped. He asked to marry his GF on the show.

    Ahh, the fight.

I loved when Andrea pointed out he was wearing leather shoes... Feldman backtracked so fast (yet so badly). Dude couldn't give an honest reason about the shoes.

Was the co-star on 90210 Vannesa Marcil (sp?)... the woman who was on General Hospital and came to 90210 during the final seasons as Tori Spelling's cousin/sister?

They said the name "Vannesa" and that was the only one I could think of on the show.

All reality shows suck. What I don't understand is why they call them "reality shows" when they are so friggin' unbelievable and "unreal"? Makes no sense to me!
