Yeah, Kenny can't dribble. Those drives that he starts 18ft out are limited to one side. He's got no left.

How can you say Caron is "above average in the low post?" or head and shoulders above Thomas's passing abilities?? Next to Kenny's defense, his passing will surprise.

Caron showed up at a little over 6'5 in Chicago. I doubt he'll have much success in the Low Post like Kenny, nor rebounding, nor defense. He'll have to extend his range, but he was billed to have a 20'er with equal low post and driving and defense. Kenny has a 18'er with driving and great low post for a SF. They might not be an appropriate comparison, but using the dribble thing to make him out to be Paul Pierce class is to be determined.

We shall see if he can hit that potential. ROY ... are you serious??

Caron is supposed to be a face the basket small forward with low post who can play great defense. We'll see whether he is Fox class who must shoot 3s out of necessity, or can actually create and get to the rim.

I have seen enough of him this preseason to honestly say he will have no problem getting to the rim and finishing in the NBA. He will also have no problems scoring in the low post. And he will finish the season behind only Brian Grant in rebounds for the Miami Heat.

BobFinn, I agree with you. Butler will have a very good rookie campaign.

you know more than me about Caron...

but on your second attempt...imo, you still did not describe this year's ROY.

Is there a height requirement for the ROY?

Its only preseason, but Caron has impressed me, as has Drew Gooden. One of them will win ROY.

Hope I'm wrong and Yao wins it.

I'm surprised by the rash of injuries on the Clippers. Brand, Odom, now Magette? I'm sure I'm forgetting someone.

I know this is Dish, but Joaquin Hawkins has surprised the hell out of me. Hope they keep him.

K9 has been amazing... depth, isn't it grand?

Knicks seem to reach a nadir and then plunge to new depths. (There's that word again. We've got it and NY doesn't. Ha.)

Give Butler at least 'til his 2nd year.
I mean, we're comparing him to the current Pierce who has been playing pretty well over the past couple of seasons, but just had his break-out year.

I knew Gooden would be good, figured MD2 would suck, so I have to go with Amare as the biggest surprise. I think Phx got a gem there, and though didn't expect production for a few years, I think I was wrong.

You forgot Etan Thomas. I think he is a very good player coming off the bench.
