There are far too many media members with grudges and agendas.

I knew without looking that gossip blogger Kurt Helin made the list.
He has been completely laughable with his vacillating criteria as justification to not vote for Harden over the last three seasons.
He was even reluctant to vote for Harden in 2018 when he was far and away the clear favorite.

James Harden played in 6 more games, totaled 509 more minutes than the MVP but only 12 more personal fouls. Maybe that’s because “jAmEs HaReN pLaY nO dEfEnSe”. Maybe he had 68 more steals than the media’s MVP. Maybe he had 14 more combined steals and blocks than the great 2-way player Giannis Antentokounmpo. Giannis team also won 7 more games, despite his absences.

Negligible difference in assist to turnover ratio but 162 more assists for Harden despite the MVP’s team shooting 47.6% from the field, 3rd best in the nba and Harden’s team shooting 44.9%, good for 24th. Negligible difference in assist to stolen ratio, despite the obvious and huge difference in usage.

Without a single free throw James Harden scored 64 more points than Giannis’ point total.

James Harden made 175 more 3 pointers than Giannis attempted, on his frankly fringe NBA level 3 point shooting.

Giannis stands up on 3 accounts, wins (better team and probably better coach), field goal percentage (he’s a “freak” athlete dunker) and rebounds (he’s a full-time forward).

James Harden pulled a team out of the grave, dragged his beaten up team into home court advantage and still put the fear of god into a dynasty all-star team.

Bucks beat an 8 seed Piston team with Blake Griffin limping around, a Celtics squad whose best player was already in free agency and lost to probably the weakest champion in recent memory despite being favored.

He doesn’t play defense? He doesn’t pass the ball? He flopped for all his points? Who is James Harden not valuable to, his own team or a league that apparently needs a bad guy/villain/heel type so badly that they would run an endless and completely fabricated FALSE narrative(s) to the point that people are ignorantly unaware of how great James Harden is at the game of basketball?

He’s pushed the envelope of how the euro-step can be incorporated, innovated a game that’s been around a while. Go watch 1950s highlights on YouTube if that’s your rulebook. Yeah, he gets away with a step or two occasionally, it happens. We’ll call it even with the tomahawk jobs defenders get away with when refs just get sick of blowing the whistle for him....even though, probably not really even but whatever.

Hate him because he’s great. Is that asking too much? And yeah, he probably should’ve been MVP. Maybe he agreed to let Giannis have it if the league would push Butler to Houston. What, like that’s weirder than him not receiving the award? I’ll wear my tinfoil proudly then.
