As an Israeli let me tell you guys this: Don't waste your time on Lior he won't ever make it to the NBA. In 2.5-3 years he stayed exactly the same player. Tweener between 4 and 3. On offense he can't shoot and has no range , doesn't have the handles to play outside. Doesn't have the strength and back to the basket skills to play inside. He is lean and athletic and get his point from offensive rebounds or pick n rolls. He knows where to be on the floor and he is a great finisher around the basket , very athletic and also has a very good touch around the basket with floaters and those type of shots. Can run the floor really well for a big guy. On defense he will be able to guard 3's very well but doesn;t have close to the skills necessary to play the 3. Struggles to guard stronger players because he is weak and not aggressive , doesn't show improvement in that area. He is very long and athletic though and will occasionally block some shots , ok rebounder. IMO will never make an NBA rosters. He either needs to bulk up and play more aggressive and be a 4 OR Develop and outside shot and some handles to play the 3. Like I said he didn't show improvement in those areas.
Well, it doesn't matter if we waste our time on Lior. After all, anything Rocket related is awesome to talk about. I hope he at least comes to the States, to play in the D-League or something. What if he really IS the next big thing?
I don't think he will come to the D-League because that means he got a roster spot , and if not then he just makes a lot more money in Europe.
