Oh I guess you never heard of the American Dream?? Rags to riches, Horatio Alger, frigging Rocky Balboa?? Where you been - besides the movie sounds like it's about a lot more than basketball. You seriously don't see how someone with no college scholarship, undrafted in the NBA, cut several times, sleeping on his brother's coach leads the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden, the most famous basketball arena in the world, to 7 straight wins and back into contention for the playoffs is not living the American dream and is a hero to millions of fans? Don't let your doubt cloud your opinion of this amazing story.
While waiting for the win tomorrow, here's more: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Jeremy Lin (@<a href="https://twitter.com/jlin7">jlin7</a>) talks about his experience being filmed for LINSANITY <a href="http://t.co/tQIZI643" title="http://bit.ly/10APT6T">bit.ly/10APT6T</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/search/%23linsanity">#linsanity</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/search/%23sundance">#sundance</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/search/%23ballin">#ballin</a></p>— CAPE (@CAPEUSA) <a href="https://twitter.com/CAPEUSA/status/294550649864077313">January 24, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>I laughed, cried and cheered during @<a href="https://twitter.com/linsanitymovie">linsanitymovie</a>. Caris, did you pledge to the Kickstarter or just an extreme fan of Lin's? Would be very cool to invest and watch something like this come to fruition.
This is supposed to be a fun, off topic thread about the documentary. Please don't poison it with the back and forth bickering. There are plenty of threads already doing that. I guess the tweets were right, the documentary was popular. Here's a positive blurb from MTV: Living the Dream About a year ago, an awesome shooter/producer at MTV News by the name of Evan Jackson Leong left us for other pursuits. It turns out one longtime passion project of his turned into one of the biggest crowd-pleasers of the entire festival, "Linsanity," the documentary detailing the hard-to-fathom rise of NBA superstar Jeremy Lin. Evan stopped by to chat with the MTV News team, and I know I speak for all of us when I say it was a beautiful sight to behold, the dreams of a young filmmaker realized beyond his wildest dreams. Swag suites be damned, Sundance still is about the movies. http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1700711/sundance-film-festival-behind-the-scenes.jhtml Here's another blurb: Sundance 2013: 15 must-know things that happened at this year’s festival http://arts.nationalpost.com/2013/0...-things-that-happened-at-this-years-festival/
Yup, I will be receiving a DVD towards the end of this year. Can't wait. I think it would be good if the public is involved in its production, too. re extreme fan of Lin - I don't consider myself an "extreme" fan. I can't stand the negativity in the other threads so I channeled my energy in something positive. The more reviews I read, the happier I became.
Very cool process I'm sure. And "extreme" was written but not meant as a pejorative. I'll go toe to toe with any Lin fan who wants to put Jeremy before any other Rocket or the team itself. Your passion for Lin's story is all positive and #7 is an easy guy to like. Congrats to you guys on getting this done!
The documentary is showing at the Sundance festival in Utah. The producers are still looking for funding and a distributor.
New changes in the cast. They're going to get this guy to play coach mchale to fully capture how lin frustrates the coaching staff.... according to sources close to me, Philip seymour nailed the physical appearance of the ex astros manager that developers of the linsanity movie didn't think twice before giving hoffman a call. stay tuned for more.
Thanks for the endorsement. It felt like I was being tested. re you guys - you might surprise yourself one day and become a part of "us".
