Linsanity is discussed in an Oct 16 article on EPM channel (Enterprise Performance Management, mostly finance and managment), this channel usually does not focus on sports.

It can be found at: http://www.epmchannel.com/2012/10/16/numbers-speak-for-themselves-but-whos-listening/?goback=%2Egde_160517_member_176062690

The title is "Numbers Speak for Themselves, but Who's Listensing". The part pertains to Jeremy Lin is as follows:

    “Linsanity” – Numbers were Speaking
...found inspiration involving all of the hoopla about the fast-rising Harvard University graduate and NBA star Jeremy Lin. The NBA professional scouts saw little in Lin. But a FedEx delivery truck driver, Ed Weiland, was paying attention. Weiland was a contributor to the website HoopsAnalyst.com blog.

Weiland predicted that Lin would be an exceptional talent based on the combination of two statistics: two-point field goal percentage and RSB40. The first stat is obvious, but the second completed the picture about Lin. RSB40 is a combination statistic measuring rebounds, steals and blocked shots (the RSB) per 40 minutes. Lin’s high index for these two stats revealed his dominance at both ends of the basketball court. Weiland’s prediction was initially ignored. Now he appears to be clairvoyant.

Who knew? Was it Ed Weiland? Or were the numbers already there, and Ed Weiland was listening?

The article asks business organizations to be more aware of their own numbers and ends with "The numbers are there. All you need to do is listen." Enjoy.

The encouraging thing is those stats translated pretty well to NBA-level competition. Jeremy shot an stellar 44.9% from long 2's and was excellent at finishing at the basket. He's also a great rebounder for a guard and elite in steals (2.81 steals/48).

Lin is good at rebounds and steals among PGs.

It won't be surprised if he can get triple-double, particularly play against weak teams.

He must improve his Catch&Shoot, 3pts shooting, and ISO defense.

I don't know about a triple double with rebounds, he's on the same team as Asik. Maybe he can get a triple double with points, assists and steals?

I got quite a few rebounds teamed with Tyson, he's no less than Asik.
