Yes. 9 from 30 and 2from 12, Wow! BTW, Lowry struggled badly the last few games, no wonder nobody cry anymore for him.
He's still hurt? Damn... well apparently the team chemistry/atmosphere is terrible up there so that can't help either.
Lowry may be having a down season, but he would've played off of Harden soo well. That said, Lin has all the tools to be so much more. Any deficiencies are purely mental and can and will be overcome. Psychologically, the guy's had a roller-coaster of a year, and he's clearly struggling to find a balance between scorer that was Linsanity and just "playing his game." He's a young guard who still has yet to fully comprehend when he should pass, and when he should look to score. You can see it when he drives the lane that he already has his mind made up on what he'll do with the ball. That's detrimental to both his game and the creativity that made his run last year so special. My guess is that as chemistry builds Lin will find his comfort zone and finally stop THINKING so much out on the court. That's what practice is for. He'll find his flow, and when he does, watch out. Which reminds me, you guys remember the first two games where Lin would break down his defender and make a move toward the bucket while Harden simultaneously made a cut to the basket for the easy bucket? That's a perfect example of both what this team can be, and how to best utilize all this new talent.
The Raptors have been a major disappointment I thought they would be like a 8th seed or something. Lowry is a great player but he doesn't stay healthy.
Yea I thought they would be an 8th seed too. Lots of talk about blowing that team up soon. At least dumping Bargnani. Lowry had a great start to the season - would have liked to see him keep that up, if only to deny OKC the pick.
I think linsanity was an aberration, but if he can get 12-6 on good efficiency and most importantly we win I am happy.
I completely agree with your assessment although Lin himself said he doesn't really think out there, that he just plays. Now I don't know if he is getting too over zealous with getting his teammates involved or just afraid to take a shot, but he is really passing up open looks. And his extra passes are not necessarily leading to scores. Maybe Lin thinks that as long as Harden is on the floor he doesn't have to score, but he needs to realize that his passing game will open up so much more when he becomes a scoring threat. Today was an extremely frustrating game to watch Lin reverting back to his old ways. I am sure the Morey and the coaching staff can see this if we can all see it. I hope he brings it for our game against the Celts Friday night.
I don't think a lot of us are down on him because of his stats. i think we are all frustrated because we know he could've done more. his performance in the first half was quite frustrating to watch.
I usually agree with you but on this I disagree. He had a solid game but needs to be more selfish offensively. To be fair a lot of guys were passing up wide open looks tonight & overpassing. Saw Parson & Patt doing this as well. The entire team came out really lackluster tonight. It is about time too. Brian Collagelo is a terrible GM. Also I hope they don't fire Dwayne Casey he is a really good coach. Lowry did have a great start but as usual he got hurt & cooled off frustrating thing about Kyle. Same thing happened last year. This is silly.
8 shots in 30 mins for lin and 9 shots Douglas in 20mins. Lin could of easily gotten 15 shots up when you add up passing the open shots and drives. Lin is a scoring pg that needs to dominate the ball to be the most effective.
I'm actually glad Lin didn't push it today after hearing that he sprained his ankle. He did enough to help the team win. It does suck to see this performance after his last game though.
