Awarde, I see that you are new, so you were not here when there were so many issues with the Yao only fans (YOF) and T_Mac only fans (TOF). Yes, this goes for all individuals who are fans of players only...

So stating the words of LeeBig...

Lowry and James Harden would make other coaches cry, but you don't get Harden without that pick.

But is this really a discussion on who's better among Lin, Lowry, and Dragic?

Look this is a business.... first...

Lin is a marketing/media cash cow...

even if you rate Dragic a 8/10 and Lin 7/10....

you will take Lin over dragic... especially when you have no stars...

No. It's a question whether management made the right decision in choosing Lin over Lowry/Dragic. Everything leans towards a mistake at this point. The draft pick from the Lowry trade wasn't a deal breaker in getting Harden, so we don't know what would've happened if Lowry stayed.

I though Lin was never the plan. Mgmt didnt' choose Lin over Lowry/Dragic.

Lowry wanted to leave, that was facilitated, which helped get Harden.

Dragic wanted more money, Mgmt let him go leaving them with no PG.

Then they starting pursuing Lin once they had no options left. Am I getting the timetable right? So I'm just thankful Tony Douglas/Machado is not the starting PG.

Lin was the last option. Rockets were desperate for a PG. They didn't want Knicks to match.

Once again, as many many posters have pointed out already: Lowry wanted out because of his issue with the coach. Dragic wanted a 4th year player option Morey never gave anyone. If Dragic wanted to stay in Houston, he wouldn't have demanded something he knew Morey wouldn't give. Morey was okay with the money and he did negotiate with Dragic's agent first. He didn't contact Lin's camp until the negotiation with Dragic broke down.

So essentially, neither Lowry and Dragic wanted to stay in Houston. The management didn't choose Lin over Lowry and Dragic. Lowry and Dragic gave the management no choice. It's not Lowry/Dragic vs. Lin. It's Lin vs. Session so someone else. I find all this crying over players who wanted out a bit silly. Lin chose Houston. Lowry and Dragic didn't.

People who still talk about missing Lowry/Dragic are like the guy whose wife left him for another guy. Now he's got a new wife, and all he talks about was how he misses his ex, how well the ex is doing with the new guy, how pretty her new haircut is blah blah blah...

We get it, we get it, your think ex is prettier, smarter, cooks better and does many other things better, but she's GONE. Get over it, and embrace your new wife. Give your new wife some love, because she's all you have now.

If you start a new job and is doing a decent job, and all your boss is talking about is how he misses the person you replaced... what would you think?

Are you serious? Lin isn't a proven prospect? You're talking about "prospect" right? What has any lottery pick "proven" in the league? Nothing. Nada. They haven't played a game in the NBA. Lin started 25 games in the NBA and exploded as no one has ever done in the league right out of the gate, on the biggest stage possible, under the glare of a worldwide media. And yet, he's an "unproven prospect", compared with a lottery pick?

Since everyone likes to comparing Lin to Dragic, okay, let's compare. Are you going to call Dragic "unproven"? They started almost exactly the same amount of games. They put up similar stats (Lin's PER was better and he had a lot more pressure in NYC but we can forget both for a minute). Why is Dragic considered proven, yet Lin is considered "unproven"?

The logic of some Lin Doubters/Haters is beyond me.
