Kobe draws double teams on the perimeter too....that leaves cutters open.

A double team is a double team...find the open man...make the bucket.

What!? They're on a 17-game winning streak right? They are 5-0 since Yao went down with the stress fracture. Oh, and last year T-Mac lead the rockets to a 20-12 record when Yao was out. So what's up your *ss?

You guys should know by now... T-Mac is on auto-pilot for about 60-70 games of the season and goes into full gear by the playoffs. This year should be no different.

I have to say that normally I don't pay any attention to the TNT crew, but tonight Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley really did a terrible job of analyzing.

hahaha WTf was kenny thomas talking about? tmac only getting double teamed on the perimeter o_O which games was he watching? if anyone takes the time to watch the analysis with kenny thomas, you'll lose so much more respect for the man. you'd think if he was getting paid for analyzing he would at least remember that the PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS DID NOT WIN 17 OR 18 IN A ROW. its not easy to win that man even against scrubs. you see boston/suns/pistons/spurs/hornets (list keeps going and going..) losing to teams barely above .500. then he further contradicts himself when he says he doesnt think the rockets are a play off team then out of nowhere he's asked it again and says they're a playoff team but not a contender. man nothing pleases this man or barkley and you've got to wonder if they were both former rockets or not. bashing the team constantly and never praising them (even with the positive remarks they always add in the negative ones) but hey i'll take it their bashing any day because when they bash the team we win but when they say we'll win (see playoffs last season) we don't.

let the league doubt us, we're not like the trailblazers we have veterans we're not a young team. even if we lose we won't flame out.

Well I think he believes the Rockets owe him so money, he screamed it out while they were going to commercial break one time...

Tracy was very good tonight. I learned that Josh Howard's confidence lies with Dirk's court presence.

P.S. I recorded this game on my DVR, gonna watch it again tomorrow

Man, those 'analysts' were just reaching for something to say. They thought they'd be able to sit back and say 'I told you so' to all the viewers, instead they got a face full of crow. It was cool to see them scrambling for something negative to say about the Rockets, and to hear their weak explanations at the end.

I think you guys MISS THE POINT. Kenny was talking about our jump shooters - ie. Alston, Battier, TMac, and Head. When other teams are able to guard our perimeter shooters 1 on 1, because they don't have to double team the inside man (ie. Yao), it makes it much harder for our jump shooters. That was definitely true last year - without Yao, we were left with Howard on the inside. I think there is some truth to their analysis with respect to our team last year.

What Kenny and Barkely failed to mention is that this year, we are much more balanced on the inside with Yao out because we have Scola and Landry. Thus, our offense is much more balanced overall and doubling our perimiter players (ie. TMac) will leave Scola and Landry capable of tearing up the inside, something that we could not do last year with Howard and Hayes (especially Hayes).

i'd challenge anyone to make sense of Kenny's 'analysis'. it's pure garbage.

at least CB straight up apologized. what was Kenny trying to do?

like all mouths fer hire, and i like both these former Rocks, its a fantastic attempt at reason. unfortunately, it'll never sell to anyone with connective brain tissue.

So all the years in Toronto/Orlando/Houston... he has made his teammates so much better and helped lead them to what.... 1st round exit? 1st round draft pick? PLEASE until this guy does anything with ANY team in the play-offs I'm not buying any of this 'he makes his teammates so much better' crap. Lebron did it, Wade did it... why not T-Mac? I believe he has great skills but we are after championships here not the rubbish we've been having in the post-season

Who are you? Why don't you just go back to whatever fan site you are a part of.

BTW winning in playoffs doesn't mean he doesn't make teammates better. Tmac has never had the greatest help around him, and yes he is fragile and has his problems, but he has always been basically a 1 man show come playoff time (last year it was 2 man with Yao), so this year if we get the right match up, TMac does have help, and even though west is STACKED, i think this could be the year he breaks that "curse"
