    not if you are a Republican and you can only win elections in Houston by suppressing the vote and falsely claiming election fraud. They should just come out and say you can only be allowed to vote if your boss gives you permission.

    She’s got the chronicle and gallery furniture against her
    @J.R.
    She’s going to lose if the opposition is endorsed by humidity and mosquitoes

    Unfortunately a couple of Republican commissioners didn't show up to vote for the budget again.

    I'm going to vote for Hidalgo but channel 26 ran some fact checking on her campaign ad and she says Mealee supports Abbott's abortion ban and Mealee has never said anything about abortion and they are correct in saying a county judge has nothing to do with abortion anyway.

    They are over the county hospitals and clinics and they need the budget passed

    I remember when I first moved to Houston it was hard to get a job if you had to ride a bus as the employers knew there was no way you could make it on time reliably. Aggh the good ol days before all dem foreigners and Yankees moved here.

    I thought Lina did a great job of communicating to the public during Covid, I may not have always agreed with her but she was simply following the CDC guidelines. The recent scandal on the private contracts where a few of her team members were indicted probably hurt her reelection chances...the timing is iffy at best...........mattress mack and dave ward teaming up with Mueller doesnt shock me, mac is a trumper and wants an R in that seat. I will vote for Lina

    Texas Republicans have had a serious hard-on for burying Lina Hidalgo since she won the last election.

    Abbott (buy more guns! freeze to death! Uvalde, what? I'm out of here!), Patrick (God will solve it all, let us pray for white Christian civilization), Paxton (keep me in office so I have a shield against indictment), true scum of the earth.

    I think when Hidalgo made voting easier during the pandemic (the opposite tactic of the Repugs) it really motivated the aforementioned scum. What, did they fear she would run for and win Governor one day? In a state THIS red?

    Mealer is putting more cops on the streets? I thought the best way to fight crime was to defund the police and let the criminals out of jail.... Why would do they this?

    Hidalgo cant pass a police budget increase because Republicans are blocking it. So really it's the GOP defunding what's already one of the largest police budgets in the entire world (not US, world).

    And there's also nothing you can do to get these lazy cops to prevent your catalytic converters from getting stolen or neighbors (and Tilman F) from popping firecrackers all night every night. Your packages will still be stolen. GOOD LUCK SUCKERS.
