This is why Trump was elected. Hillary was the absolute worst candidate the Dems could have put forward. People came out to vote against her.

I don’t know man. I know a lot of people in law enforcement and I would say about half of the black officers I know vote or have voted Republican. Do I know hundreds or thousands of black officers? No, so I am basing it only on my experience.

Unfortunately Texas legislature and Greg Abbott made drive through voting and overnight early voting illegal under Texas SB1. I liked both ideas.

Hildalgo is far from perfect, but I have a hard time voting for Mealer who believed that there were massive election fraud in 2020 and calls Trump 'The Boss'. She's a firm believer in Texas SB1. Having someone like that in charge of Harris county voting will be horrible IMO. I also don't like how I can't find her stance on abortion. Even local executive branch can have great impact on abortion through education, funding for medical clinics, and law enforcement.
This. Cagle and Ramsay haven’t shown up to the last 3 Courts which means a no new revenue budget is passed due to the lack of 4 votes. Thus a cadet class, numerous law enforcement positions, as well as needed equipment, supplies, and a raise for law enforcement didn’t get passed. Remember this if you’re voting in Cagle’s precinct who didn’t show up and defunded the police. Not to mention a myriad of needs for flood control, and the hospital district but who cares about that right? Hidalgo left early on her doctors orders as she’s suffering from the effects of food poisoning and was in the ER twice this week. She only stayed long enough to pass the consent agenda and they will reconvene court likely Friday. I have no idea why the police would boo her they should be b****ing at Cagle and Ramsay for not getting their raises.

I would not doubt that and he is a rich ole fu****, but I don't think its wise for any local businessman to get involved in politics and take one side over another, you alienate half the population and thus reduce your pool of clients, but he`s old as dirt so he got his so I am sure he doesn't care. Mealer is so butch, not saying she is a lesbian, she is married and has a kid. She just seems like a potential hard ass. She is very accomplished. I understand why Republicans support Trump stupidity. He won and he got a lot of votes despite losing to Biden. Any of those other clowns in 2016 would have lost to Clinton. It's seems inconceivable that someone like Mealee would back Trump but definitely understandable.
It is about the money and power. Lot's of Republican politicos with Ivy League educations support the ridiculously narcissistic Trump if necessary to hang on to power.
