    So him having a broken jump shot=not hard working now?
    Ok. Rondo and Kidd are poor scorers. Are they lazy bums now? Also comparing euroleague experience to nba experience. :eek:

    Oh and dismissing Rubio as a "great white hope"

    Rubio's "hype" is mostly based on a sh**-ton of data based on his as you say 7 years of professional play.

    Saying Rubio's hype is mostly based on "great white hope" mythology is on par with peole saying Lin's hype is only because he's Asian. SMH.

    Oh boy.... Rubio is a much better defender than Lin while Lin is much better offensively. I don't see how its great white hope mythology considering how badly the Timberwolves fared when Rubio was out. They had a good chance of getting 8th seed then they dropped like a rock after Rubio was out. The main difference was the opposing teams scored a lot more without Rubio's defensive presence.

    they weren't used the same. a guard in Adelman's system will never max out his assists-per-36 potential.
    next year, I'd expect Lin to average more dimes per 36 than Rubio. especially with full Adelman's camp. But it won't be a great indicator of their passing abilities.

    when you watch 'Sota games, Rubio's court vision and passing precision is obvious. he can consistently and precisely make a 2/3 court pass between several defenders for a guy who's just getting ready to sprint. that's a soccer pass. and it's just an example.
    he just anticipates movement as well as any point guard I can remember, which is ridiculous considering the Wolves didn't even have a full camp.

    There's no real point arguing with a guy who has only watched Knicks/Lin games/highlights from that last season... Hard to imagine he caught Timberwolves games last year.

    coachbadlee : our "big 4" :: imarealballer : lin

    There is nothing more I would love for my Rockets then for these two to be proven right with their crazy optimism, but damn.

    + both Anthony Randolph and Derrick Williams benefited a lot from Rubio. When he went down, they both went from solid contributors to net-negative players with no clear purpose on the floor.
    Leaving the Wolves with no front-court depth and no solution at SF besides Beasley (and he's not a winning solution at SF).

    Rubios court vision and hands on defense are off the charts. in 3 years Rubio will be the best PG in the league.

    Neither will ive up to the hype, but I hope Lin plays great just because he is playing for the rockets.

    Rubio is not hype. He is one of the best playmakers in the league and is still 4 years from reaching his prime.

    This country has a system to create star atheletes. Lin is a product of the system.
