I highly doubt that... I certainly hope not, anyway. If he's not hot from the perimeter, AB doesn't bring that much value (IMO).
The first quarter last night was the some of the best play by Lin. He was running up and down the court like he was playing for his money. Then after that I don't know what happened. He stopped looking to slash in and stayed on the outside for the rest of the game. The only time he did go in he was constantly looking for someone to pass to. I don't what happen to his confidence in such a short period of time. It frustrating to watch a player struggle with himself and self implode.
Alot of credible critics and announcers all praise Beverley's D. Your either stupid or sadly misinformed
Well, a lot of times when a starting player returns from an injury he will come off the bench for 1 or 2 games, just to ease his way back into the starting lineup since his conditioning is not going to be tip-top & he should be expected to be a little rusty.
That's the LOH way...insult when no tangible proof is available.. Dude put some effort in your analysis...
Clutch do realize the Rockets are 12-5 with Bev NOT playing and 15-10 with him starting? I'd say the facts show otherwise.
i like brooks a lot, always have. although when his shots arent falling he becomes a HUGE liability on defense. especially when you have a back court with harden who doesnt play defense- teams will roll over us in those 2 spots. lin shows flashes, is becoming more consistent and looks way better as a PG then he did last season. there is no question about that. but it is ****ing frustrating as hell to see him get blanked out sometimes, he needs to demand the ball more. i think he gets intimidated with shooting whenever hes got a guy like harden next to him, but he needs to work through that and gain confidence and shoot. he has always had a nice release on the ball, better than a lot of players i have seen to be honest. not sure why they dont go in the basket though... i think its confidence, i think leadership and trust is what this current team is lacked.
So you are ignoring the problems with Rockets trying to find a rotation that would work? The Asik/Howard team up was not a problem at all? It was Beverly not just starting, but playing at all. This is a ridiculous statement to make. Rockets are a better team when Beverly plays. Doesn't matter if he starts or not.
Boy are you narrow minded. Go back and look at context of the games (Dwight + Asik starting...) before you go spout of things as fact. I thought you were banned for your earlier nonsense btw?
I think part of it is, he doesn't know how to balance and share the ball with the team. But thi sisn't his problem alone, it's also the coaches. if you think about it, he has to get it to a player on the wing, and then for some stretches he has to just dump it to dwight for a few possessions which really slows and could take some rhythm away from the team who are more of a run and gun style. If they are dumping it to dwight, the defense is allowed to settle in and set up easier, as opposed to swinging the ball and playing PNR. it's tough, the team doesn't have a true identity yet, they are playing between two styles...or trying to balance it
I think it's safe to say that the Jeremy Lin experiment has not worked in Houston thus far. Lin doesn't have it. Whether it's the ice water in the veins, the confidence, the talent, whatever it is, he just is ineffective against tough defenders who body him up. He really needed to take a big step forward this year. He has not. His 3 point shooting is the same as last year - 34%. It did not improve at all. His numbers are all nearly the same across the board. His overall fg% is better, but marginally so. Question is what do you do with a point guard with a fragile ego who isn't covetted by any team? Jeremy Lin is what he is, a back-up pg at best.
Banned??? You can't even get me straight with other posters. Again, YOU guys are hurling insults, I'm giving my opinions.
