Lin is pretty much the same player he was 2 years ago. It seemed he improved his 3pt shooting, but it was just fluke hot stretch and he doesn't have better FT% to say he improved his mechanics.

He is finishing and getting to FT line better compared to last year, but his playmaking is down and TOV% is still crazy high. Disappointing to see player didn't improve at all over the past 2 years.

Yes, indeed. The contention is, McHale cannot coach, and he doesn't, and the team is purely winning on talent. Beverley got better? McHale making him the starter does not make him a better player than last year. TJ and Dmo are expected to improve in the 2nd year, independent of the coach. It's in their talent. So, fire McHale is the best roster move Morey can make.

He regressed in the most important area of a PG: playmaking while dribbling. Back during Linsanity, Magic suggested that he'd be really good once he managed the hesitation steps, i.e. controlling his speed and not committing too early. And he is moving in the opposite direction now. Very disappointing for his fans.
His shooting mechanics and defense improved, by eye tests.

It's up to Bev. to stop Lillard. He is one of the best one on defenders in the league.

How do you know what's going on in his mind? If he didn't tell you then it's your fantasy. At least that's what we who are Psychologists are taught. Just pointing out a fallacy in your understanding of people.Debating this is pointless. In general I think your other comments that leave out assumptions about his mental state are brilliant.

If Portland sets picks all day for Lillard doesnt matter if Lin or Bev is guarding him. Bev is great 1 on 1, otherwise PGs light him up just as much as they do on Lin.

Is this just some made of up stat or do you have anything remotely considered proof of this?

If it was indisputable, everyone who watched Rockets games would be saying the exact same thing. But it's 90% Lin fans who keep repeating this.

That's how I see things. But people aren't allowed to see him in a negative light because he is flawless, right? Why don't you offer your "professional" unbiased opinion as to why he plays scared. I'd like to see whose shoulders you place all the blame on to protect your favorite player.

I don't know if he is playing scared or his other feelings as I did not talk to him.I am saying I don't have an opinion about his emotions, biased or other wise You clearly don't understand my point.

Lin gets so dissed all the time this season. Signs pointing to him being traded at the deadline. Hard to think anything else. Not just because of Bev, but also how much McHale has taken a liking to Brooks. I do not see many teams wanting Lin, but possibly they have something lined up.

2Pat came off the bench last year after he returned from injury.
And he was traded in the mid-season.

Obviously, they are ready to get rid of Lin.

This is my main concern. I'd like to see him get ~10 minutes or so.... if he's hot from 3, roll with him. If not, take him out.

This was expected. Bev, was chosen as the starting PG at the beginning of the yesr. Fan's love him. He has a grest number of supports on GARM,McHale clearly likes his play. Why would he put Lin in his place? Bev, has a reputation as being one of the best on ball defenders in the league from the analysts statements. I have not heard anythig negative about Bev. From our announcers or other announcers commentators. This is no surprise.
