Learn not to use one game to judge a player.

I'm not surprised at all. All I am saying is Lin did not have a good game at all. I will call out other players too if they had similar games. I don't know why you LOF are so butthurt over the fact that people are pointing out that Lin did not have a good game.

Lin has been awful since he's been given the starting job. He looks short of confidence on the offensive end. He's playing very good D though.

The point is that Lin is better than Bev and needs to be the starter. This team needs to run and push the ball like last year. I think they got out of the habit some because they made Bev the starter. Running and pushing the ball is what Lin is good at, and the Rockets need to get back to that if they want to go far in the playoffs. Lin's D may be better than Bev's, if it isn't it's not like Bev is way better than him. I'm not trying to run down Bev because I like him a lot, and I like that his style of game is so different than Lin's, I think that's a good thing.

And he did have an overall OK (B-) game, not an awesome game, because he played good Defense.

Brooks was 3-6 and only played 15 minutes.

Lin had a subpar game but McHale stuck with him. If we swapped it around we would have a meltdown.

Of course, a lot of people are just going to pretend this game never happened and next time McHale sticks with a line-up that did not have Lin in the 4th quarter, they will pretend that McHale has it out for Lin.

He hasn't been awful, but you are right he did play better at the beginning of the season.

Lin's been an on and off-again starter ever since Bev injured himself in game one. He's played above expectations. Saying he's awful is just hyperbole.

Are you implying that without injuries, we have a backup SG on par with Beverley?

Above who's expectations? Because I'm quite sure in the various McHale hate threads Lin's vastly underperforming his "true level" due to the Rockets staff.

Are you implying that the Rockets coaches are making Lin a better player than people thinks he is?

The Rockets know there was an huge outrage when Lin did not play in the 4th quarter in the last game. Jonathan Feigan even tweeted about it.

Whether McHale chooses to keep Lin on the floor in future fourth quarter games remains to be seen. However, in McHales defense, Lin did make some boneheaded plays in the third quarter in the last game. In Lin's defense, he has shown that he usually plays better in the fourth quarter, even when he has sucked in the first three quarters.

There seems to be a consensus that his results last season were underwhelming. Lin has become more consistent and he's generally played well all season so far, despite having to adapt his play, and change his position. Hence, better than expected.

I highly doubt McHale kept Lin in for Q4 due to "outrage" that broke out among some of his fans on CF. LOL.

I'm quite sure last year that every time I tried to say Lin was not playing up to his contract, I got about 10 responses saying how I'm wrong.

So no, there were certainly no consensus on what you're suggesting. Unless of course you only read clutchfans by filtering out every poster that joined 2012 or later.

I would like to know the "huge outrage" tweeted by Jonathan Feigan.

And don't be naive, McHale cares little about what the public thinks. Any coach who makes coaching decision based on what fans want is terrible coach.

Lin has finished way more games than he hasn't. It's not even a close ratio.

I don't know how many Rocket games you have been watching if you think Lin rarely finishes the 4th quarter.

That was the tweet dude. Feigan said 100 people asked him about it.
You're probably right, McHale probably doesn't care what the public thinks.
This season, McHale's leash did loosen more on Lin as opposed to last season.
So perhaps the last game was only an anomaly. I don't want to make any predictions on what McHale will do with Lin in the future, so I just defended them both in my post.

This was the Feigan tweet before that:
