Fact. Lin is not our starter. Or our closer. Which leaves Q2 Q3. OP please change title to reflect Lin making a case to play Q2 and/or Q3.
Fact. He isn't the starter because McHale doesn't trust him. So the fact that he plays the 1Q or Q2 or Q3 or Q4 doesn't really matter.
If so, then I hope you make this exact same post every time a LOF tries to claim the Rockets play better with Lin on the floor. It goes both ways. If you want to say there's no enough to claim Beverley's superior than Lin, then by the same reasoning, there's also no argument for the other side. I hope you take up the torch for Beverley against those who would attack him without the benefit of the sample size you claim. I look forward to your numerous future posts against all anti-Beverley posts with this elegant argument of lack-of-sample-size.
Check my post history before I get blasted, think I'm pretty fair on lin. That being said it's prettying Lear McHale doesn't trust Lin, lin has to play super well to get minutes and then if another pg plays decent that pg stays in over lin. It is what it is.
Lin for sure is not a starter and he won't be a starter, not in Rocket land with McHale as the coach. Rox should just trade him and Asik, and end this circus. Morey need stop trolling CF fans and stop being so greedy. You are paying two backup 40 Million dollars for the next two years. Les should demand Morey to get the trade done.
Agreed it's Rockets fans who are getting trolled whether they realize it or not. Both Lin and Asik on the bench is taking a big chunk of the championship pie unavailable and out of reach.
He has a shooting guard's skillset, lol. It's interesting the only c&s comparison is Calderon, because Dallas split the offensive duty, with it leaning on Monta to run the offense more often than not.
Shot off the dribble must be bread and butter for the guard who runs the offense, being the 2nd worst (I don't count Kobe, he played 4 games) player in the nba off it is no point guard.
Lin is a 20/8 player playing in an offense next to the best and most ball-dominant active SG in the league, so his numbers don't reflect his skillset at all. Other than the elite point guards, no PG would put up better numbers than Lin playing next to Harden.
The thread doesn't need to be locked. Mchale needs to be fired, and replaced with a coach that knows what to do with a good talented pg.
