Lin looked pretty upset when McHale pulled him near the end of the game last night, and he was arguing with McHale about staying in. Doesn't look like he was meekly submitting there.

To clarify, he is an undergrad economics major not a "business graduate" which refers to Harvard's MBA program. The difference is that his peers are likely analysts at Goldman rather than associates at Goldman.

As you can see, I have a lot to contribute to this board. Please rep.

He's up there in both of those too. 54.5% from the field, 45.5% from 3pt line. Not sure how that compares to other players, but I'm pretty damn sure it compares well.

Lin worked on his 3pm, his left, and his defense during the offseason, and I'm happy to see its now showing in his games. This is the same guy who got offered millions of dollars of endorsements during Linsanity, but refused them in order to focus on improving his BB. He's a well grounded individual. Hope some LOHs drink the Kool Aid and root for this underdog (remember you'll be rooting for him and not his fans). Hope other LOHs continue what they do, because the more you critique his weaknesses the more he will work on improving them.

Yeah, I really don't get the whole "Lin is meek" idea. People are just projecting stereotypes here.

Lin is not a Melo-esque superstar who can singlehandedly get coaches and GMs fired because his coffee lacked cream and sugar one morning. Within the constraints of his situation, Lin hasn't been at either extreme of being a doormat or a malcontent. Yet people keep saying that he's a pushover when there's no real evidence to support it.

How can Rondo play along with harden? I do not see how it will work unless harden plays off ball. Are we going to let rondo come of the bench.

I can see the rockets will try to upgrade the forward positions. parsons is good for his pay but it is clear that his skill set are not that rare in NBA

Can someone post Lin's numbers playing with and without Harden?

There was a thread on this for last season. I want to see how it is this season so far. I am still skeptical about the "Lin fits better off the bench" theory.

Lin plays 32 mpg. Harden plays 40 mpg. That's at least 24 minutes per game (which is 75% of Lin's PT) when Lin plays alongside Harden. His improvement can't just be better "fit."

if pop was the rockets coach i'd be willing to say that we'd be tied with the pacers in record right now.

Put 2 fragile and volatile egos like Rondo's and Howard's in the same locker room? What a disaster.

Nobody changes their shot over one off season. If you can't shoot coming into the NBA, then you'll need several seasons of coaching to fix one problem at a time. Meanwhile, you better be good at something else.

Does that 7 mins without harden really make that much of a difference? Lin can be bench for all I care. Coming off the bench or starting, doesn't make a difference. Lin will be playing with Harden the majority of his time.

Lin can become a Manu, but it has nothing to do with not able to mesh well with harden. Lin can become 6MOY because he is already a above average starter.

Definitely not enough minutes without Harden to mean much...

Lin with harden: (209 minutes, 57 shots)
    FG%: 56.1 eFG: 63.2 TS: 67.1 USG: 20.8

Lin without harden (52 minutes, 20 shots):
    FG%: 50 eFG: 55.0 TS: 60.0 USG: 26.8

Harden with Lin: (209 minutes, 88 shots)
    FG%: 42 eFG: 47.2 TS: 56.2 USG: 27.0

Harden without Lin: (112 minutes, 52 shots)
    FG%: 48.1 eFG: 54.8 TS: 63.9 USG: 30.4

It's fine being a LOF hater, but you need to understand the game rule of unrestricted free agency before making such a statement. Don't put your reputation on the line.

He's playing great and we should up his usage rate.

There's lots of hints that he's not happy with his bench role. He himself said he was terrified of being benched over the summer. Talking to his agent means he is trying to explore his options. And last night's on court post game interview he mentioned something about dealing with his role or making the best of it.

Lin was suppose to be the main star in Houston, now he's stuck to the bench. His reputation outside of Houston has already taken a beating with every opposing team saying Bev outplayed him for the starter job. Very damaging to his marketability.

Lin would probably start on majority of teams out there. He just happened to land on a team with harden that duplicates his skillset. He is being demoted because of fit. If the team poorly fits you, why would you stay? I would absolutely put my money on Lin leaving for the chance to start. The situation can still be salvaged by inserting him back in the starting lineup where he belongs.

Lin is a combo guard. He has good vision but poor decision maker at times.

He's still better vision than anyone else on the roster.

They just need to give JLIN the ball and let him control the players..Back in New York he was aggressive and actually playing PG telling everyone what to do and where they need to be..Mchale is not using him fully on the court..Everything go to harden he call the shots..JLin cant play like that.. I hope he continues to play great..

That's a lie perpetrated by the media (ie. SAS). Actually Lin only was offered only one contract (by the Rockets) the entire time. The Knicks never offered him a contract. So either sign the contract or don't have a job in the NBA.

    Don't look now, but Jeremy's 3P% (45.5) is closing in on Dwight's FT% (47.1).
