Okay, what you say is true, but there's a difference between opinion and fact. The opinion is that Asians are not as masculine as other men, I'll give you that. But that is not fact. It's based off of over a century of white men purposely trying to convince the public that Asian men are inferior.

Let's face it, white men are the most controlling of women - they hate seeing Asian men being seen as a sex symbol, that's why they rarely cast Asian men in romantic roles, or lead protagonists. Asians have internalized it, so they show white models in Asia, rather than Asian ones. It's actually kind of surreal - could you imagine the reverse happen in America - where all the models are Asian?

What "white" models are you referring too in Asia?
Most of the fashion magazines I have seen have "Asian" models with fair skin.

I can't speak for all of Asia but I can speak for Taiwan, and specifically Taipei, where I lived for a year. For a country with a population that is less than 0.1% Caucasian, the amount of advertisements that feature Caucasian models is staggering. I'm talking everywhere: billboards ads plastered on the sides of buildings, ads on the subway, in magazines, etc.

    Here are a few examples:
    Billboard near Taipei 101

    Billboard in Ximending

The equivalent would be like walking down Soho in New York and seeing ads with Asians everywhere.

In addition, my former roommate in Taipei was a French fashion model. He was once featured on a Taiwanese talk show where they had male beauty pageant with a bunch of white models as the contestants. The judges were around 25 teenage Taiwanese girls dressed in school girl outfits, and they asked questions like, "I've never kissed a French guy before, can I kiss you?" Jokes on them, he's gay. But anyway, seriously ask yourself, can you imagine something like this every happening in the US, where a bunch of white teenage girls in Catholic school uniforms would lust after a bunch of Asian guys?

things are Changing... with the western countries going into debt and bankrupt...

while countries in central/south America, Africa, Asia develop and grow

your going to see a change in advertising as the money shifts from west to east

    This^^^

Some power house countries in Asia are moving away from typical manufacturing and technology based advertising to ones that America has dominated and media controlling businesses like: Fashion, Hollywood Movies & Entertainment, Music, etc.

Slowly, but they are gaining some ground in those fields.

You sound more delusional than when you made up that story about "turning" lesbians.

Taiwan is a homogenous society where more than 90% of the population is of the same ethnic decent, hair color, etc. It is not surprising to be piqued by something different and exotic.

On a lighter note, anyone notice Kevin Garnett in chain mail with a sword in his hand in that second pic? Bet he wishes he could play basketball with a sword.

dumbest argument. I've ever heard. Have you ever heard of globalization? It's just a product of Western culture being shipped out across the globe. US/EU pumps out products and culture (tv/movies/etc.) and that image becomes the most desirable. You think that wouldn't happen if suddenly Thailand or some other random-ass country became a global cultural power and started pumping out images of the most beautiful people from that region and it permeated the entire culture of the world?

No you're right... it's cause white people are controlling and are specifically conspiring to undermine asian men... LOL
