look, i am not a lin fan but i am a rocket fan and a big fan of yao. this is just a casual observation from all the headline news i am reading

You are trolling and a racist with your 'generalization.' OP unintentional posted a racial topic (and stated so) but you are doing it on purpose, knowing you might get banned for your statement!
Fields is 1/2 black and they were friends before Lin went to the Knicks. If you follow his twitter he still keeps in touch with a lot of Golden State guys including Steph Curry, Ekpe Udoh, and Dorrell Wright. He also got pretty close to Courtney Lee during his 1st stint here. I am excited at the possibility of this young team gelling and creating something fun.
Peter, I think it's great that you're following your favorite player. The problem with a lot of posters on the GARM is they are putting their favorite player over the team. So as you stated players move every year, but they are still a part of a team. T_Man..
Race is a 'big thing' in USA because we actually have a myriad of races and cultures. Where do you hail from? I know the world is starting to become much more multicultural, but a lot of places are still fairly homogeneous in composition. I believe a lot of people look at America and bash our 'cultural clashes', but they have no idea what diversity even means.
A lot of people, living in US, call your 'diversity' or 'cultural clashes' racism. They are living with it, everyday, including Lin. It is not about idea. It is their life, suffering.
SAS calls Jeremy Lin overrated: hes a racist Rick Reily or Colin Cowherd calls Jeremy Lin overrated: no peep out of the LOF's FOX NEWS attacked Gabby Douglass after winning 2 gold medals in her "worst" events for being unpatroitic...WHILE SHE WAS GETTING READY FOR THE 2 EVENTS SHE EXCELLED AT( did black people trip out.... ugh no... because we know its FOX NEWS) LOF's seem to try and look for racism that just isnt there
I do acknowledge the problem of racism, and am adamantly against it; just check any of my other posts here on this issue. There will always be some form of racism is a culturally diverse society. Someone living in East Asia, or any other kind of homogeneous society calling America racist is like a pot calling the kettle black. At least our country opened it's borders early on instead of remaining isolationist for years and years?
Also, for the record, Houston is one of the most diverse cities in the World, let alone the United States. I attend the University of Houston and it's the most diverse institution of higher education here. It's a literal melting pot of cultures and it's beautiful. I love it here. Jeremy Lin suffering? The dude's been a great athlete all his life, got to attend Harvard, and now be a star on the national spotlight in New York City and the NBA, give me a break. I can say I've suffered at the hands of racism in a way too: being a white, middle-class American kept me from 95% of scholarships in my highschool scholarship bulletin. But I don't go crying racism because of it.
Jeremy Lin isnt going through any racism, as comapred to what black hockey and soccer players go through Im gonna go out on a limb and say that the NBA Fans treat non-black players will grace and class. Im sick of these race-baiting threads involving Lin though
