Lin by himself gets us 1 to 3, adding in any buzz we get from Lamb's Summer league performance, might bump it up to 4.
Eventually this will turn into a live trainwreck unfolding before our eyes on National TV. Lin is a fluke..He's just another Bo Hart from St. Louis cardinals fame.
Nah... if Bo Hart was Asian, and developed a huge following regardless, fine. Lin will have a following no matter how he does... and chances are, a 23 year old with good instincts and decent basketball IQ will find a way to improve in this league.
Is China gonna have "Breakfast with Lin" like they did with Yao during our games? Also, I remember when we played the Bucks and they had that other Asian guy, it broke the record for most viewers cause of everyone in China watching.
I agree. It's 90% NY and 10% Asian. For example if it's just about being Asian I don't remember too much hype over Ha Hurts Humans and he's more Asian than Lin but every half assed Knick is the Great New Hope every couple years and gets hyped the crap out of them. That's irrelevant though. Why he was popular doesn't matter because he's popular now and thus the media will focus on him. 2 games would probably be right though because Houston always gets the shaft
If we get Howard and Lin this will be probably be one of the most televised teams in the league. You guys are underestimating the impact of stars like howard and the name recognition of lin.
Dude if we get Dwight we are getting way more than 9 nat'l tv games,Dwight had Orlando on nat'l tv a lot,now add Dwight with Lin we get at least 20 Nat'l tv games alone.
Agree that the hype was because he was in NY. How many games were nationally televised when Lin was in Golden State? So I'll say 1-3 only with Lin, with Howard the rockets could 6-7.
