Clearly the rockets organization is racist and is marginalizing Lin by not building the team around him. We need to be constantly remined of he did in NY during Linsanity, and only take into account that period of games and never bring up the 6 game losing streak after teams started figuring him out.

McFail and Murray clearly is only doing this to marginalized Lin, how else could you explain it? Why else would they want to focus the team around the top SG and C in the league and not Lin???????

Just look at how they are preventing Lin from showing the world his chris paul level??? Clearly they don't know how to develop players, look at just how besides Beverley, Harden, Parsons, Asik, Jones, DMo have developed. They clearly don't know how to develop players.

This team needs a great coach like Mike D'Antoni, just look at the success he has brought to teams like the Lakers and Knicks.

The REALLY fun part of this thread is that Lin WAS the starter last year and he was quite mediocre.

with Aldridge out, Lillard is the #1 option. the opponent's first prioriity is to slow lillard down.

if lin was in the same boat..he'd avg 17 pts on 30% shooting and with 7 turnovers.

OP, not sure what you're trying to accomplish here but really....

lin has been here for two years. 99% of the people on this board have their minds made up about him already and nothing will sway their opinions, good or bad.

the ones that don't like him and think he's a scrub, will not change their minds regardless of what anyone says. and the ones that think he's an all-star in hiding and being hindered by a glass ceiling isn't going to change their minds either.

so my advice, if you care for it, is to start a thread about anything OTHER than lin. there's been more than enough conversations about him already.

how can he not be mediocre when the whole team is racist, and Harden hogs the ball and injuries and shets

remember that 38 point game on the spurs, I'm gonna keep bringing that up no matter what context or argument

To be somewhat fair to the OP, purely as a scorer, that is where Lin comes closest to a player like Lillard.

Lin's best ability is being a decent scorer. He understand the rim and 3 efficiency game and is a solid finisher and 3 point shooter.

But while he's an ok assist man, he's not a great playmaker, and he's a HORRIBLE turnover machine, who is below average defensively, and not nearly the ballhandler Lillard is.

And of course, he's doing it against backups whereas Lillard is doing it against starters. Though honestly, defense aside - where he can't be hidden as easily - I think Lin's offensive numbers are the same regardless of who he plays against. his biggest issue as an offensive player is his own mental psyche.

Don't forget lin does not even get to play point guard for the rockets cuz or marginalization. But his turnovers are excusable because the other teams are racist by taking the ball from him.

With Carmelo and Stats out, Jeremy Lin was the #1 option. The opponent's first priority was to slow Lin down. Lin was averaging 25+ on +50% shooting ...

Nah, Lin's turnovers are the Rockets coaches and players' fault because the other Rockets players have low BBall IQ and when Lin jumps in the air with nowhere to go they are supposed to read Lin's mind and find the open spot.

Lin was an unknown entity. There was not much if any scouting done on him at the time.

So what's stopping him from making half of his shots now?

Have you considered the remote possibility that teams are better/more prepared for Lillard, an All-Star, Rookie of the Year lottery pick who is in his second full season as a starter than they were for an undrafted Jeremy Lin who had barely cracked the Knicks' rotation?

EVERYONE knows (including all LOH and old cranky CF members) that if Lin played Lillard's minutes and had his usage, he'd be putting up the same if not better numbers....the proof is in EVERY damn game harden has been out, Lin's numbers are linsanity level...oh yeah, rockets win almost all of those games too. The end.

Because he does not want to, he wants to make Lin haters more comfortable and happy.
