Lillard vs Lin

Norris Cole could put up numbers similar to Chris Paul if he just shot more.

 

I really like both players. Lillard has helped give Portland new hope. I do think if Lin had the opportunity to be the lead PG on a team with the backing of the coaching staff that his numbers would be slightly better than Lillard's and would play better defense in terms of opposing PG FG%.

 

I'm experiencing that feeling, I don't know how to describe it. It's like when someone does so something so embarrassing that you begin to feel embarrassed for them? Yeah, that's how I feel since I actually like Lin.

Yes, if Lin were a better player than James Harden his numbers would be better than Lillard's. Another excellent point.

Using http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/the-hidden-value-of-the-nba-steal/ as the value for these stats and calculating value on a 35.9 mpg basis, Lin is worth 26 points. Lilliard is worth 33 points. In other words, you are stretching Lin to be approximately 50% more valuable per minute than he is.

Having said that. Lillard is a top 10 PG and Lin a below average PG around 20 or lower.
