I'm watchin ESPN right now and there is Lil Wayne on the show Around the Horn... the more surprising thing is that he isn't doing that bad...
Wow I have lost all respect for ESPN.. Wayne did have some good points but they kept him going through the whole show and gave him the win... Way to w**** yourself for ratings ESPN.
I saw that and I nearly had to look twice. Apparently this is his fourth appearance! I can see having celebrities like former players, coaches, commentators, etc. But Lil Wayne??
Found an article: http://awfulannouncing.blogspot.com/2009/02/lil-wayne-to-join-ath-panel-for-day.html
What is the big deal? It is "Around The Horn", it's not like any of those guys are former players, coaches, commentators. The whole show is entertainment, nobody takes them seriously.
I know that but the show is still for entertainment. They say a lot of crazy stuff on there. I just don't get why people act like this is so shocking.
1. Most people didn't know of any relation between Wayne and ESPN/the sports world. 2. ATH, though it is 'entertainment', still uses primarily journalists for it's panels. (for example, I didn't know they'd ever had other entertainers as panelists before). 3. If you aren't familiar with 1., then you are probably unclear why he's on there at all. I don't get why you don't get that some people might be a little surprised to see him on there.
Yes I know about number 1. He blogs on ESPN. Don't know about Around The Horn, but on 1st Take LL Cool J and Nelly have debated on there.
I think i remember hearing that Wayne wanted to be a GM. I think he watches alot of sports so he knows his stuff. That doesn't make him smart...
