Cuban is an idiot for giving Nash's money to Erick Dampier. Nash is really good. I would love to see what playing with Nash could do to Yao's stats (now that someone else has brought Yao Ming up in this thread). I bet we would see a much higher fg % and at least 20/10. It's a completely different offense with Nash running the point. Too bad JVG's and Nash's philosophy of the game don't quite seem to be the same...or are they?

Maybe Amare makes Nash better too. Check the stats. Nash's assists are up by 2.1 per game and his field goal % is up by 4.6%.

Yes, Dirk is still doing well without Nash, but Dallas has a lot of talent and was able to replace Nash with some quality players. Who is replacing Nash in Phoenix? Barbosa, who is in his 2nd or 3rd year?

Many players might struggle when they lose a teammate and things change, like McGrady earlier this year.

Dirk is the best international player currently playing in NBA and he is one of the best offense players in the league, hands down. As a big man, his outside shooting touch, mobility, and ball handling skill are just unbelieveable.

However, I am wondering if Nelson locks him in the low post, asking him to play out of his style, to bang, fight the position full time, will he still be so effective? And will he suffer as much as Yao?

SF3 made Barbosa look like world beater last year.

Many players might shine when they lose a KEY teammate and things change, like Yao earlier this year.

Do you have to turn every topic to a Yao bashing thread?

Amare has a Yao-like first quarter today.

I don't know about Amare, but when you only have to play on one side of the court, it may help. :D

Would that be the side where Dirk has been getting 8.7 defensive rebounds per game this season, 1.4 steals and 1.3 blocks?

Ranks #3 in the NBA in Defensive Rebounds(305.0)

Don't let facts get into the way of...uh...whatever it is.

Amare 2pts 2rebs 1TO 1PF and the rest stats are all zero in first QT.

I know, from bottom of his heart, he want the rivalry between Yao and him continue. :p

Amare collects 3 fouls in 9 minutes, does he learn something from Yao? :p

He is 1-6 from the floor against Gasshole. THe mighty Amare scored 2 points with 3 fouls in the first half.

That's see how the bogus MVP candidate does in the second half.
