Guys, today is a good day. After reading some of the news articles and headlines on certain websites, I've started to think about how good I have it.

    • I have a beautiful wife and awesome kids.
    • I'm more spiritual than I've ever been before.
    • The Rockets are in the playoffs.
    • Our business is doing well.
    • I have a decent job.
    • I'm making a little money in the market even though it’s not the best of time.
    • I have a decent job.

What do you guys appreciate about your life? I'm probably going to get some stupid posts. Seriously though, what about you?

I have a wonderful girlfriend who cares about me and treats me the way I care about and treat her.
    I have two great jobs.
I'm leaving for a trip to Vegas and California in 32 days.
I have wonderful friends and an outstanding family.
I am uber-close to being completely out of credit card debt.
I live in a 2500 square foot house with a hot tub, pool table, theatre room and three HDTVs.

I've been thinking a lot lately about how lucky I am and how I never want to take my life for granted. My ex's mother is going to lose her long battle with cancer in the next couple of days, so it's made me appreciate things that much more.

I am blessed I have my health, although not 100%, but not as bad as other people might have it.

I am blessed to have my family, who support my every move and cheer me up to pick myself up.

Last and not least, I am blessed with friends who listen to my problems and lend a shoulder and an ear [also an e-mail ear] when I need to let it out.

"Hide the chair... hide the chair... pretend we're talkin'... pretend we're talkin'... "

macalu, yes... but they don't start threads like these...

Good health for me and my loved ones -- never underestimate that!

The fact that I have loved ones.

    Where I live....what I do.

    I didn't just lose $0.31 on a Clippers bet.

I have a fantastic 17 month old son

I have been fortunate enough to stay home with him and watch him grow for those 17 months

My rockets playoff tickets are paid for - this is the first year I got them :D

I've been able to act, direct and sound design shows in the time I've stayed home - and got to work with the Rockets announcer JP on one of them

I'm able to live in a modest home that we own with 2 dogs, 2 cats, my boy and my wife.

My PS3 and 52" inch TV aren't bad either, but they don't come close to being as good as the rest.

    A couple of week ago
    My wife and I
Took a little trip down to
    Mexico
    Met this young girl there
We brought her back with us
    Now she lives with us
    In Our Home
    She cleans the hallway
    She cleans the stair
    She cleans the livingroom
    She wipes the baby's ass
She drives the kids to school
    She does the laundry too
She wrote this song for me
    Listen
    Yeah

    The other afternoon
    My wife and I
    Took a little ride into
    Beverly Hills
    Went to the private school
    Our oldest child attends
Many famous people send their children there
    This teacher says to us
    "We have a problem here
This child just will not do
A thing I tell him to
And he's such a big old thing
    He hurts the other children
All the games they play, he plays so rough
    Hold it teacher
    Wait a minute
Maybe my ears are clogged or somethin'
    Maybe I'm not understanding
    The English language
Dear, you don't seem to realize

    My Life Is Good
    My Life Is Good
My Life Is Good, you old bag
    My Life, My Life

    Just this evening
    Some young associates of ours
Are flying to see us from
    New York City
    They're gonna stay with us
Oh, a couple of weeks or so
    I'm gonna take 'em to
    Restaurants and everything
    Gonna get'em some
    Real good cocaine
    They don't get much
    Where they come from
    And this one guy's wife
Is such a pretty little brown thing
That I'm liable to give her a poke or two
    Whaddaya think of that?

Teacher, let me tell you a little story
    Just this morning
    My wife and I
Went to this hotel in the hills
    That's right
    The Bel-Air Hotel
Where a very good friend of ours
    Happens to be staying
And the name of this young man
    Is Mr. Bruce Springsteen
    That's right, yeah
Oh, we talked about some kind of
    woodblock or something
And this new guitar we like
And you know what he said to me
I'll tell you what he said to me
    He said, "Rand, I'm tired,
How would you like to be the Boss for awhile?"
    Well, yeah
    Blow, Big Man, blow

    My Life Is Good
    My Life Is Good
    My Life Is Good
My Life, My Life Is Good

I really had a great life before I got married:
Worked from home, no yard, long bike rides on a curvy stretch of road, sci-fi, history channel, CSIs every night, watching Bladerunner whenever, lots of disc golf and I could go on and on and on....

Life after getting married almost two years ago:
Absolutely the best thing I have ever done for myself. She truly makes my life so worth living for. She has made the above paragraph (pre-wed) irrelevant to what "life is good" means.

Yes, life is now good. Thank you K.
