Swinging strikeout to close out a one-run game in the World Series. Is there a more fitting end to this season?

You're the man, Brad. Congrats. You deserve every bit of this.

Meh. I knew losing him was a bad idea. I've never understood the "change of scenery" excuse.

If that's the case, you should be able to "loan" players to other teams for a year.

    Either way, good for him.

At least the Astros can trade players away who can come up clutch and then win a world series. lol.

Lidge did the unbelievable. Obviously, we shouldn't have traded him...and he's rubbing it in.

When asked about his other post-season problems (w/ the Astros), Lidge basically said that I don't care about that other crap!!! HA HA HA I hope McLane liked that!!!!

We could have put a couple palm trees or something behind home plate, offer the change of scenery right at home.

I was enjoying this series and was hoping for a game 6 and 7 but awww his post-game interview made me a little misty-eyed. Couldn't be happier for him. :)

    - And Bruntlett! :D

Did he drop any f-bombs? :D

Massive kudos to Brad Lidge, you damn headcase, you.

    -----------------------------------

So, way to set the bar on this trade, Bradley. For the trade not to be a bust, Michael Bourn must bat in or score the winning run in the World Series (ala Bruntlett) *and* record the final putout.

Knock yourself out there, Mikey. :D

Houston is just part of "all that other crap" he doesn't care about.

I was behind him until those comments. Now he can bite me. Screw you lidge.

congrats to brad lidge for exercising any demons he had or people assigned to him, winning a ring, and having one of the best, if not the best season of all time by a reliever.

you're a class act, and you deserve it buddy. must be awesome to be you right now. nothing that you did before or do after this season will ever matter or take this away from you.

if ever a houston fan should feel great for a former player, this is it.

Are you kidding? The "other crap" wasn't his entire time in Houston. Brad has been nothing but class when it comes to his thoughts on the Astros. The "other crap" was the stories and fans rambling ad nauseam about how he was a mental headcase and his career was over, all because one of the greatest hitters in the history of baseball hit a home run. I'd call that a lot worse than crap, actually. :)

Referring to the Phillies, yeah. Of course he's focused on his current city and his current fans, as opposed to those for a team he doesn't play for anymore.

I didn't realize the question was "so, what did you think of your fans in Houston?"
