yeah i made that too definite. we probably ultimately lose anyways but considering how close the series was a change in any situation possibly changes the outcome.

i'm not saying roy o pitches better BECAUSE he pitches sooner it's just unlikely on any given night against any line-up that roy oswalt gives up 5 runs. roy wins a whole lot more than he loses, so hypothetically if he pitched a different day and time it's more likely he wins that game than loses. it's no guarantee of course.

you're making it sound like because he gave up 5 runs against the white sox, it's not possible that he performs better than that against the white sox at another time.

did he walk that many? wow; i don't remember that. i remember it being one of those games where he was making his pitches but the balls were just finding holes.

but i do agree; game 5 did mess up the rotation. i wouldn't go so far as to say it LOST us the WS, but i think it's a different series if oswalt goes 1, pettitte 2, then clemens in houston and not the wet/cold of chicago.

Should of, could of, would of....can't live like that. Doesn't do anygood. What if Oilers beat the Bills? Probably an all Texas Super Bowl in '93. Would if the Rockets drafted Jordan instead of Olajuwon? Maybe 3 more titles. You never know. It's fun to talk about it, buy you can't live and die like that.

Jordan might be the greatest ever but there is no way he wins 6 titles here and why we will never know for sure Dream IMO would of had more than 2 in Chicago. Ralph's injury really set the Rockets back

Jordan had good Pippen Dream had bad Pippen

The White Sox came to play in that World Series no doubt.
Pitching Roy O the first game maybe would have changed things. Only maybe because every single game was within reach for the Astros and they might have had carryover momentum the rest of the games to barely top them. Also, though deserving, maybe having Bagwell bat wasn't the best idea instead of a hot Mike Lamb.
But would coulda, Roy O got shelled in a sad sad game and its tough to think the Astros coulda have done anything to deny the Sox the title.

Pujols signing a Lidge ball, what the heck? I curious why they didnt have a full pic showing the ball and his pen signing it. Instead of just a half pic with the top of his shiney dome. He could have been looking down at a Maxim magazine or a plate of nachos or anything.
