So, I just learned that here in Florida, your license plate can follow you around. If you buy a new car, you can keep your old plate, transfer it to the new car and avoid paying license fees. Since I am old and uneducated (since I am religious), is this available in Texas? Did I just not know this? The registrar in Florida said dealerships won't tell you about this but that makes no sense since the dealerships don't gain anything with licensing fees.
I never knew that. Granted, we haven't bought a car in Texas since 1990 or so. Is that relatively new or has it been that way for decades?
