Lou Williams is getting paid like he's a contributor. In the Kyle Lowry range. He doesn't get pub for being a decent player, but wouldnt quite call him a bargain.
I would like to see Lou as a Brooks replacement if we had to trade brooks away for another all-star in a position of need. Whether that is an Iggy/Lou package, or a package bringing in Melo or Granger, then another trade including Lou. Brooks is oviously better and may have a cheaper contract (I don't know Lou's contract though). I'd say though that after the Pacers' recent changes, Granger might be an untouchable unless the Pacers have that much confidence in Paul George.

Anyway, I think this is a pretty cool write-up, I learned about Lou, since he escaped my notice for most of last season. I agree that it shows that Brooks is more valuable than some of us think. Also, it's good to see that our 'assets' are getting more notice than some posters suggest. I don't understand why people here try to downplay Brooks so much. He was the best player in a lot of games last season... couldn't say that about any Rockets PG post-Francis. If he gets traded I'll be sad to see him go, but hopefully he should net us a decent return if he does.
