    good one.

you are willing to refer to asians with whom you disagree, after a food dish?

    noted.

did you even watch the segment or just copy paste something a website told you to be enraged about?

The Washington Redskins Original Americans Foundation needs your support.

this is only a piece of the puzzle.

Unlike a satirical news program that airs on the comedy network?

The only thing to be outraged over is the majority of the human races inability to understand satire.

conservatives, which is obviously why you are so offended. your track record excuses you from using the "i care about minorities" card

    Bu-WA-HA-HA-HA, AH-HA-HA-HA!

bigtexxx trying to walk back a decade of "white-is-right, no-YOU-played-the-race-card, I-just-pushed-your-buttons, what?-can't-take-it?" rants cloaked in the stench of "but, but, I LOVE the blacks..." (part of the sentence having been truncated: "...when they're not in my life") by standing up for the poor oppressed Asians.

    Gotta love it.

You are right. We have no evidence to back up you loving blacks.

The things said were offensive to Asians...if you didn't understand the context of his point. Do you have no sympathies for the native Americans who are the real victims in this situation?

So, it's OK to make racist jokes, as long as you are pretending to be a racist?

I think context and intent are the factor. The audience knows the intent to make fun of a ridiculous name and compares and mocks with an even bigger ridiculous name. The joke part of the whole deal is not towards Asians. It's toward the owner of the Redskins. Context people. Context.

You sir, win wittiest comeback of this thread. Nice.

Colbert made a miscalculation. He should have used black people or another "protected" minority as the punchline; thus ensuring that people would know that he was making a point about something else, even being taken out of context. Instead, he used Asians, who are fair game for racial humor, so people weren't sure what to make of it.

You're thinking of certain "liberal" posters. At least, every time I've seen something in this vein posted, it's always been one of the left-leaning posters who think Asians have it made in this country and shouldn't rock the boat.

He used asians because he caught flack for his original ching chong ding dong skit from years back, similar to how Snider is catching flack for the name of his team. Yes the point could have been made with any other group of people but he was trying make a parallel with the actual situation to his own and point out the silliness of the attempted PR stunt.

Colberts original skit was indeed in bad taste and any group can be upset with anything they want. I can be mad that white people are viewed as oppressive if I chose to.
