LiAngelo and LaMelo signed for some random team in Lithuania

Lithuania's lone Euroleague team Zalgiris wants to rent LaMelo for the upcoming Euroleague Junior tournament. That would actually be beneficial for LaMelo, playing against top European talent of his own age. It wouldn't be a long rental, but European youth organizations are pretty good at teaching fundamentals and team basketball.

I think you'd be quite surprised how many people of the younger generation in Lithuania speak good English. Ever since the collapse of the Soviet Union, Lithuania has been more and more immersed into the Western culture. Young kids are being taught English as their second language when they enter the 2nd grade. The majority of young people do not know any Russian. It's a complete opposite with the older generation. As for the Zalgiris organization that wants to rent LaMelo, all of the personnel knows English, I believe it's a requirement to even get a job there.

Dayum, yeah, Zalgiris looks real good for some randomly assembled youngster team.

 

They have borrowed several good prospects from other Lithuanian organizations for the upcoming Euroleague Junior tournament. You could say that this Zalgiris junior team is almost a Lithuanian national team of 16-17 year old players.

 

Lmao yup good to know, well, the Ball bros have been touted as the next superstars, I dun know.
