His dad was been trolling the league and the world about his sons, this is what happens when you do that.

If your dad says he's better than Michael Jordan and that you are better than the top superstars in the NBA when you are just a rookie, then you are going to get some negative vibes back

Also if your rich son is stealing petty stuff in a foreign country, that might not make them likeable

 

It is a pretty one dimensional internet and social media based thought process that is no better than saying "but James Harden doesn't play defense" or "but game six " I would think Clutchfans had more knowledge than the instagram trolls and capable of looking beyond the surface. The key is that his father is the one that is pushing crazy rhetoric, not his sons. There is tremendous amounts of hate for Lonzo, I honestly didn't see him as an NBA fit, but he has shown signs of real potential. Melo seems like he has a shot of overcoming obstacles his own father created for him to overcome. I see two kids with some talent with a very loud father pushing to be an entertainer and building his brand, the kids themselves haven't done anything to really merit the hate from well informed basketball fans. I respect people that can overcome obstacles and keep working towards a goal and earn a spot in the league. It's not like he is a cocky Austin Rivers with a dad that saved his career and bank account.

Overcoming obstacles? What obstacles have they had to overcome (that any other draft hopeful hasn't) besides their father that has probably given them any kind of notice? It certainly isn't their skills that have blown away scouts and coaches. Lonzo is probably the worst shooter that has ever come out of college...certainly has to be the worst to be drafted at his position. The other 2 look worse. So tell, us less informed folks...I'm certainly curious.
