If I go with an M, which is the way I'm leaning, it'll be the M35. Plenty fast enough, and I'd prefer to spend the money on amenities. The Premium package is expensive, $10k, about the difference between the 35 and 45.

I still would like a test drive of the Lexus and Acura, though.

    What do you drive?

Cheaper + Better Gas Mileage. He's not one to use the extra HP, so the 430 is sort of wasted on him. Same options would have cost $10K less on the 300, and he could definitely save a little on gas mileage(18/25 vs. 22/30).

    But...yeah, the 430's not bad.

Yes Im in Houston. I'll let you know tomorrow. Currently I have 4 dealerships in a bidding war to give me the best price on the 05 TL. ;) I just started negotiations earlier today. Best price is $900 over invoice, but the other 3 dealerships say they will beat that price. Unfortunately they wouldn't tell me by how much.

Looking at the Lexus makes me of the first car I had ... a 1974(?) Toyota Carina. When you lifted the hood, there was a tiny little engine in the middle. You could see the ground from all angles around it.

    How far Toyota has come....

Test drove the Acuras last night. I like the BMW and Infiniti over them. The Acura's reliable and all, always liked Hondas, but it just didn't seem as polished ...i.e. doesn't drive as well as the others. The TL is a great value, though. I certainly wouldn't cry if I had to take one.

I'm leaning towards a run-off between the 2006 330 and the M35, but I still need to give the Lexus a shot.
