    Let Shard sign wherever he wants, lets not bring him home if he really doesn't want to. He can go play for Dallas and we still have a bada$$ team, but if we try to bring him home, like ya'll said, he could get very demanding. There is no need for us to cheer him when he gets to the airport and all that other crap, he's been a Houstonian for 18yrs, a legend at Elsik HS, he knows what we are about. If he still holds a grudge on Rudy, then I say let his crybaby a$$ stay away from home.

    Mark Cuban is not the type of person one expects to be the Owner of a NBA Franchise.His character is all out of line,he would fit as the owner of a teen disco! He does not know his place, he's interfering into everything like a schoolboy. He has no savoir fair and thinks money can buy a Championship! He employs a name Coach who has never won anything1 He realy needs a board of advisors to make recomendations on how to behave as an Owner! The othe NBA Owners think he is a joke. He is often trying to circumvent the NBA Rules. If I was Lewis I would not listen to Cuban's promises because he will find that he will be playing 10 mins. a game like z.z.Wang!

    Rashard is exactly what dallas needs, a starting SF. He will not be fighting for minutes like Wang.

    I wouldn't say Dallas is the better organization, but Cuban is the better owner to have. What you want is an owner that takes out the money factor--an owner that doesn't worry about the luxury tax, to write blank checks for whoever the GM and coaches want, to not give a darn about profitability. It is a competitive advantage what Dallas and Portland have, just because they may not always use it right doesn't mean it isn't there, don't kid yourself.

    I personally don't like it when sports owners care about the money their team is making. The best sports owners have billions so that they run their sports team like a game--like a Ferrari to play around with. They do have to have enough sense to let the experts actually run the team, but after that you just want them to write unlimited checks.

    Montgo I agree that we should take care of Francis first and of course thats whats happening but you can come out and say you are more than just "interested" in the guy. And Shard shouldn't continue to bash the Rocks and its true, every team passed on Lewis but you only have one hometown team that can pass on you and they did 3 times. But I really think he was just saying what Dallas wanted to hear at the time.

    Dallas right now is definetly one of the top orginizations in pro sports. Cuban has only been the owner for what 4 years and he has transformed the Mavs from a league laughing stock to arguably one of the top 3 teams in the NBA. They have a great arena, great locker room, awesome workout & practice facility, and nice private jet. The Mav players are treated very well (Cuban actually gave Howard & Hardaway the playoff cuts they would have recieved if they wer'nt traded)and their is an aura of winning that that franchise hasn't had in a long time. I HATE the Mavs but I gotta admit that they are a very good franchise right now.

    That being said, The Rocks are a great orginization as well. Francis once said that a handshake from CD was worth more than 30pgs of signed contracts. Players love being a part of the franchise w/ Rudy and CD running the ship. Mobley took less money to stay here, Mooch choose the Rocks over the Mavs, Mo T, Nacbar writing Rudy T a letter after his workout saying how much he enjoyed his visit and would love to be a member of the Rockets.

    Both orginizations are good ones and as far as which is better, its all subjective. I'm a Rockets fan so I say the Rocks are better but if Cuban flys me to Dallas and makes a jersey for me and creates some play-by-play w/ my name in it, I might be swayed to change my opinion;) .

    Go Rocks!

    Washington, New York, New Jersey, Portland, and Phoenix did not pass on Lewis. None of them had a pick in the first round and all picked after he was gone in the second round. Dallas passed on him twice on draft night for Tractor Traylor and Ansu Sesay.

    as far as passing on him...I do recall Dallas did twice and they took Sesay over him.....just as bad...

    Stylez... I understand...i donot condone....but I understand.....

    I have a very important test tomorrow, so I'll be very brief:

    1, Dallas doesn't have Clutchcity;

    2, From my personal experience, Houston is a much more open-minded international city;

    3, I love coach RT and coach Nelson equally.

    It's also about what can you do for me...Dallas can give more artificial bells and whistles. This is good if you are an immature fool.
