The Problem is that the Rockets haven't gotten out of the first round in over a decade. The Lakers went to the Finals last year and had the most wins of anyone in the west this year. Your "Letter to the Lakers" is inspirational to Rockets fans. But really, the Rockets will not get respect until we get to the finals again. Look at what a horrible team Dallas always was and they didn't get respect until they went to the Finals. Same for the Spurs. They where a nobody team until they won 4 times in the last 10 years. If the Rockets get to the finals this year you will see a lot more respect next year. Good post, I like the optimism.
Jordan played in '95...why do people choose to ignore that. Also the Lakers know what they are doing. They won championships just a few years ago. I'm sure they don't need a lecture. They have their recipe. We have ours. Although this is a positive post, I'm glad the players don't feel the same way. Let the results speak for themselves.
Perfect, let them think what the media wants to think... that they allowed us to win. Anyone who watched that game knows we took it... they didn't hand us anything. Keep thinking it's all in your hands, Lakers, sounds like the lesson isn't over yet. Maybe we win this thing, maybe not, but you definitely don't win until the Rockets say you do, and it will all be left on the court before those words can be spoken. Better bring your A-game and a little hope, this team is humble and hungry and has nothing to lose, but something to prove. Knock Knock Who's There? Good Afternoon, Los Angeles, we're from the Rockets, Respect Collections Department. You're extremely past due.
