Now that we know that the titans are absolute sh**, lets tank the game and hope that we face them in the playoffs. Thoughts?
I wish I had a time machine so I can go back in time and unread this thread. You realize they said the same thing about the Colt's.. and you see what happened. Any given sunday.
"What is it Big Daddy says? Boo!....I say .... Boo!" Seriously, we need some kind of momentum and synchronicity moving into the playoffs....Especially with Andre just coming back, all the injuries, and a young/new QB ...plus I don't believe in that sort of thing. Normally I would agree with resting all these guys, but not under these circumstances. This team cannot be expected to just turn it on. The only thing that might give sway and allow the Texans to get away with it is our great defense that sets the tone.....esp. with Wade back.
To give Bud Adam's ass a playoff game? please! I would not help them get anything even if it favors us. We destroy them that is all.
I was hoping for a more sensible reason, like netting a slightly better draft slot when/if we're eliminated in the postseason.
Well, Kubiak is resting starters. I don't mind a first rd match vs the Titans at all. Texans match up favorable against them. The draft pick is just the cherry on top.
The titans easily look like the worst team that can make the playoffs. Only guy that I am afraid of is Jared cook but he is limited by a severely mediocre qb in hasselbeck.
Yeah, the Jets had gone down and sure enough we go for two, get the penalty...and instead of kicking it, we go for it .... he snaps it over Jake's head. I know some might say we were avoiding further injuries and all that, but we laid down. I hope it doesn't come back and bite us in the a$$.
If the Texans lose, it's not going to be because of a bitten ass carry over. It would be that they sucked to an inferior team, which means the same losing performance next week would happen vs Oakland or Cincy too. Basically, if the Texans play solid, they'll beat Tennessee...that, I believe strongly. I'm not sure if that rule would apply vs Oakland because the Texans offensive line blocks poorly vs Oak's big D-line.
Jurrell Casey seemed to give Caldwell fits all day. Hope the Texans find a way to neutralize pressure up the middle if they do play again next week.
Best news is we may play against the titans with our real players, and their FB, Hall may still have lingering effects of the concussion by next week.
so we need the Raiders, Broncos to win and Bengals to lose for the Titans to get in? Damn I wanted to root for Orton against his former team.
I'd almost rather go against the Steelers the way they're playing against the Browns now. Still scoreless for them.
^Sportsradio 610 and CBS annoncers saying the same thing. So things aren't looking up for the Titans with Broncos and Raiders currently losing. If they both lose, we play the Bengals..even if Bengals lose today.
