If we play like that against K State we are going to get railed..

Perry needs to step up big time

That was a good win at K-State in a very hostile environment. Whew.

Whew is right. This squad continues to find ways to win. Baylor's D was stifling in the last 5 minutes of the game.

Edit: Baylor has a great shot to take an early, solid lead for a #1 seed come tourney time. After the next game against Ok State, they'll be playing Kansas and Missouri. I can't wait!

Excellent win in a tough place to play.

Perry stepped it up tonight and Pierre is looking like a Big 12 POY award candidate.

They were tested and played well through it. A lot of teams wouldn't have been able to come back after falling behind by about 6 with 3 minutes to go on the road in that sort of environment.

The contribution they're getting from Pierre is what's making them so ridiculous right now. I knew generally what we were gonna get from the other players...but I didn't realize just how impactful Pierre was gonna be.

Brownie Points to AJ Walton...just saw him on campus decked out in Rockets gear.

Great win last night, the defense we played last night was amazing. I hate that we keep winning in the last minute, this team has enough talent to blow out top 25 teams...but a win is a win.

I agree with just about everything you said. In addition to Pierre, what surprises me about this team is how someone different steps up in so many critical moments of these close games we've been having.

Whether its Acy getting a huge swat or putback, AJ getting a steal or just playing some clutch D, Perry/Quincy making a clutch jumper, Helsip knocking down a big 3, or Pierre doing.... whatever he wants in open court. I've tried to temper my expectations after BYU, WVU, and even MSST. After that last win I'm bustin

Don't think so. Rest of fam is staying for the girl's game that night, but we're gonna head back. Time to try the gutpak I think. :)

Tire will meet the road Monday at KU. A win and Baylor is in the Big 12 driver's seat.

you definitely need to try gutpak if you never had it before.

there's a new holiday inn just off 35 north of campus that seemingly no one knows about. we stayed there for a football game weekend this season. i was going to recommend it.

I can't wait to see the sloppy mess of a game we pull Kansas into. I have no doubt we will force this team, and anyone else in the country, into our style of play. With that, we just have to out perform them in those final few minutes like we've been doing all year. Can't wait to see who steps up in that moment this week.

Yeah, I was going to ask if you or anyone had lunch recommendations for Saturday prior to the game. Googled "gutpak Waco" and it linked me to Vitek's Bar-B-Q on Speight - is that a good spot? :) I don't know Waco that well. Thanks in advance

depends on what you're looking for.

I'd suggest George's for a beer, for sure. They have food too...not great but it will do. The Big-O is a Waco institution....beer served in a huge goblet.

    If you're looking for a sports bar, there's Cricket's downtown. Decent menu...lots of TV's.

Vitek's is a bit of a local experience. No place to sit in there...or at least there wasn't when I was there last. You order food and take it with you.

Ah, I see. Thanks - yeah, George's looks pretty good for a pregame beer/meal. Doubt there will be too much on TV on Saturday, with football coming to a close (sniff, sniff), so Big-O sounds great.
