Yeaah. I was at the game, and it was hard to watch. There was a stretch where Kansas ran the same offensive set like 5 times in a row and scored on each possession. Both Joneses had good games offensively, with Perry hitting all 8 of his freethrows. Lace was a total nonfactor. Quincy was outmatched by the Morris brothers. AJ didn't really help with his 7 turnovers. Also, a post entry pass seems almost impossible for this team.
This team is too inexperienced and wild to be good on the road. Were just not very good. I can't believe we went from being top ten to a potential NIT team. Pitiful. 2 top 20 recruits will help but I don't see us being a legitimate contender next year as well. At least, we can't be worse than this team though. Were lacking experience in the worst way. I'll be happy when I don't see Dunn jacking up shots from the parking lot. Worst shot selection in the country.
Perry Jones only has 5 shots, are you serious??? This kid has no killer instinct.... They need him to win and he's not getting the ball.
Another year would do him wonders. We could be decent with Miller and Bello coming in. Look at the change in Jordan Hamilton from his freshmen year. Terrible foul by Dunn. We could have been down one possession with the stop.
Hi Bears! Lost 3 out of your last 4, huh? Ouch. That stings! As always, you have a talented and poorly coached basketball team. You have a team with a very low basketball IQ, and a coach who has absolutely no clue how to get them to play as a team. Result? You lose a lot of games and end up in the NIT with a team full of Sweet 16 talent. Go ahead. Tell me I'm wrong? We'll see you soon. -Hank The Mouth Breathing Cowdog
Poor coaching. Seriously. So sloppy....for a few games, that's just young guys working it out...at this point, they just look undisciplined. Poor shot selection...can't take care of the ball...they look they have ZERO GAME PLAN on the offensive end. Honestly, they're kinda hard to root for.
Baylor this year seems a lot like Texas last year. I had the same feeling with that team - it was just very difficult to care about them because they weren't much of a team.
yeah, very disappointing. luckily for all big xii teams, there's always tech to make you feel better about yourselves.
that's a good analogy. hadn't thought of that. my son (whom you know, Major) is busy ragging on me..."how are hoops working out for you now, dad? seen the horns play yet?"
We need a win this Saturday, I don't know much about Baylor's team this year, how do they match up against us (Colorado)?
Well at least you don't have to worry about losing Drew in the offseason this year! In all seriousness, I am still very worried about the Aggie games against Baylor because we have been playing terrible and Baylor still has the players that can just go win a game.
I doubt he goes anywhere with the recruits coming in next year and with Isaiah Austin already committed for 2012.
