Lol - the refs did all they could for uconn to get their 80th straight win.

Aside from the questionable calls late in the game, there was a shot clock violation with about 5 seconds left. They didn't stop the clock.. We got the rebound but couldn't come down fast enough to get a decent look.

Ya it's womens ball but it wouldve been nice to be ranked #1. Good effort by the lady Bears. It was like their fourth game in five days.

Yeah, the refs beat you. Clearly it was the officiating...

I'll check back from time to time.

Acey's game has evolved considerably. I'm not sure if he'll end up going in the first round but he looks like he has pro potential. He stands at 6'7" but has a wing span over 7'2".

nothing finer than Hank showing up to talk some Lady Bears Ball. i think you subjected yourself to ownership by simply coming in to make a comment about that game. seriously...what inspires someone to go on another team's thread and talk about their lady basketball team?? that's fantastic. you, sir, are top notch.

Acy reminds me a lot of Tyrus Thomas (the good elements) in college, with regards to his immediate leaping ability and ridiculous wingspan. If he added a consistent mid-range jumper, which it appeared yesterday... he's a definite first-rounder, imo.

That's a good comparison. He was compared to Kenyon Martin in the broadcast.

Baylor - Arizona State on espn 2 at 6 pm.

Lace has looked great and were at least 9 and 10 in the polls with MSU's second loss last night.

Slowly moving up on the polls. 9 in Coaches and 10 in AP. That douchebag Jon Wilner doesnt even have us ranked showing why the AP poll is such a joke.

Have you seen Baylor's newest recruit?

11 year old, Adrian Moore from Conway, Arkansas

    http://www.ballinisahabit.net/2010/12/baylor-is-recuiting-11-year-old.html

    <embed src="http://blip.tv/play/hfANgpHWGQI%2Em4v" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="480" height="390" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed>

Down in Conway, Arkansas, there is a young man named Adrian Moore.

Well, young man probably isn't the correct term. Kid isn't either. So let me rephrase that sentence.

Down in Conway, Arkansas, there is a child named Adrian Moore. This child is 11 years old, but since he is 6'3" and was able to dunk as a 6th grader, he's become a bit of a sensation. Middle School Elite has already profiled him, he's been ranked as high as No. 2 in the Class of 2016 (also known as 7th grade), and he's being compared to Josh Smith of the Atlanta Hawks. Hell, he even made it on The Big Lead.

Baylor has taken the bait. They've already sent Moore a recruiting questionnaire.

This shouldn't shock you in the least, not with George Dohrmann's book on Demetrius Walker still fresh in everyone's mind.

I've railed on the recruitment and the ranking of prepubescent boys many times, and as recently as September. I don't have the desire to do it again. Thinking about it makes me feel like I belong on an episode of Law and Order SVU.

Some hoped that Dohrmann's book would spark change, but few -- if anyone -- expected it. There is simply too much money on the line. Joe Keller, Walker's AAU coach, made a small fortune by attaching himself to the ten year old. He took a ride Walker's coattails and ended up establishing himself as the face of elite middle school basketball. In the process, Keller completely neglected what Walker needed to do to better himself as a basketball player. Once Keller realized that Walker was done growing at 6'3" and that he wasn't a sure fire first round draft pick, Keller discarded him.

Walker's issues were no different than what happens to a huge number of kids coming up on the AAU circuit. Their prodigies at a young age because of their physical ability or their god-given talents. For Walker, he happened to hit 6'3" and reach his peak athleticism before he got to high school. He was able to dominate because he was taller, stronger, and could jump higher than anyone he played against. But his reliance on his physical gifts cost him when he didn't grow.

At 6'3", Walker is a guard at the collegiate level. He's good enough at the sport that he is getting his education paid for first by Arizona State and now by New Mexico, where he is currently sitting out the season due to NCAA transfer rules.

Walker is, by no means, a failure. I wonder, however, how many people view his as such because he didn't live up to the unrealistic expectations that were placed on him at such a young age. I hope he doesn't view himself that way.

And I hope that the same thing doesn't happen to Adrian Moore.

Yup, out of Little Rock Hall I believe. Remember reading about him when he was a high school star up here. Glad he is helping Baylor do big things in the NCAA. :)

I was up your way last Christmas visiting in-laws...BU was playing Arkansas while I was there. There was a nice article in the Little Rock paper about him. Seems like a good kid.

Very athletic, just has all the tools and can play all positions on the court it seems as far as the early college game. Still tough to tell how good he can turn out to be cause Baylor has played a very easy schedule with all games at home so they have not been tested.
Today's game against Gonzaga in Dallas should be interesting to see where the team stands.

Jones' ability to dribble, pass and shoot at 6'11" is what makes him such a special NBA prospect.

Frustrating loss but at least it's in mid December.

It was one of the days where we couldn't hit crap. Were gonna have a couple of tough games next week. We have to play better.

Oh and in before the Hank hate. Please don't quote the guy bc a lot of us have him on ignore.
