I watched the game at Sawyer Park. It was surprising to see about 20 Baylor fans there and only a handful of Texas fans. We're rolling right now.
Did the ESPN cameras get a shot of Pat Riley? He was on the UT side baseline in front of the Bear Pit. Can assume he's looking at Udoh, right?
While true, this is the case for Kansas most years and they still tend to win the B12 tourney anyway. I do think Baylor is going to make the 2nd weekend of the NCAA Tourney though.
We shocked them last season in the big 12 tourney. Gotta get there first. These games against Texas and potentially Kansas State will be tough.
Hey BU fans. How about some scouting reports on Ekpe Udoh for someone who hasn't seen much of him? Noticed he's sitting around the 14-15 spot on a lot of mock drafts, so he's in our range if we keep our pick this year. How's he doing this year, and how do you think he'll translate to the pros? More/less athletic/and or refined than Jordan Hill? Thanks in advance.
make sure to watch him play today...he's more of a shotblocker than Jordan Hill...I think their offensive game is similar to when Jordan played at Zona'...Udoh is a very good passer for a big man
He is ready on the defensive side but his offensive game still needs some work. Udoh is a good passer as you pointed out and has a decent shooting touch but his post game could be better. He has broad shoulders and he will inevitably get bigger once he hits the NBA. I would LOVE to see him paired up with Perry Jones. We will cream the big 12 next season if Udoh returns.
Oh certainly - I'm not saying that Baylor can't beat Kansas. I'm just suggesting that the lack of motivation thing wouldn't be the reason. If Baylor wins, it'll be on the merits. Kansas regularly wins the B12 tournament despite a lack of theoretical motivation. Agree on K-State. Realistically, I don't think Texas should be a huge challenge at this point. I'm stunned that the spread on this game is a pure pick-em. I think Baylor should win fairly comfortably (10 pts or so).
