I think Nathan performed very well when he got minutes. By the time he is a junior, I think he will be a very good player.
Hopefully next year! A Walkup/Carter barrage could go a long way in ending our notorious offensive droughts and help balance the attack.
So, can I safely assume that I am not the only one who saw Nathan play and thought that he was going to be really good? It looked to me like he played some quality minutes this year.
He can definitely play. But I wasn't necessarily serious about him having a big impact next season. Just wishful thinking. But it could happen. Especially if he works as hard as a Brian Davis.
I can easily see him seeing significant minutes off the bench. In the time that he played this year, he looked fairly solid. He can definitely shoot.
So TAMU has a top 5 recruiting class coming in 09. Things will change but in the end we should still be top 10. Easily. The question is... How did Turgeon land 3 studs, none of which are from Texas? Is that a good thing, the lack of bringing in Texas talent? Or is it a good sign that he is scouring the earth for talent? http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/recr...olumns/story?columnist=gibbons_bob&id=3555426
If you look around at the programs that are contenders every year, they recruit nationally. If you recruit from your state above all else, you handcuff your program.
Well this certainly is a nice in-state recruit ... http://tamu.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=2&pr_key=70420 Odds are his committ brings in some of the top in-state talent for 2010 as well. Aggie basketball is on the way up, and man the women are gonna be on top VERY soon if you look at their recruiting. With football going the way it is, thank god for bball.
Is anyone else from Clutchfans going to the Toyota Center games on Dec. 20th? Nice opportunity to watch the Aggies play live.
Great comeback against Zona last night for the Ags. You can tell we have a ways to go, but it was nice to see that fight in them. We really are missing a decent big in the middle. Hopefully Elonu will continue to improve, but he and Davis better not foul out of games or we are in trouble.
Thanks Ron314 Elonu had an amazing game two weeks ago Was the only lead TAMU had the one that eventually won the game? Thats cool. Ill be at the UT/TAMU double header on the 20th. I still hate the offense.
Does anyone know the details on the UT/Michigan St. TAMU/LSU matchup at Toyota Center? I was wondering if it is possible to share tickets with other people meaning 2 people watch the first game and then leave so two others can use their tickets. Is it two separate sets of tickets?
My understanding is that it is one ticket for both games. They aren't particularly cheap either. The cheapest lower level ticket is $50.
Bama game was entertaining. Walkup hit another huge shot. Looks like Holmes took Harris' spot, I thought Harris would be high impact right off the bat. Sloan was penetrating and not turning it over, he is finally showing up as an asset to the team. Looked like Steve Francis at times.
Your 1 point win over Arizona looks a little better now, since they just upset #4 Gonzaga. Hopefully A&M will be ranked by the time Big 12 season rolls around. There's not a lot of them in the Big 12 for Texas to bolster their resume. OU and Baylor are ranked now. KU will be unranked after being upset at home by an unranked team. Conference overall is pretty weak this year. Thankfully UT's non-conference schedule will carry them to a 1 or 2 seed.
