we're getting our $h!t pushed and we have nobody to blame but ourselves. David is playing like a puss. Dash sucks a$$ anyways. And Tristan freaking Thompson straight up abused us. Hamilton and Johnson are both on fire. We're giving them the mid range shot and they haven't missed. Case in point, we had no business being in the top 10 and we just got exposed as a fraud on national TV. Coach of the year my ass.
on a side note, has a BCG-coached A&M team lost this badly to Texas? hell, has a BCG-coached A&M team EVER lost this badly period? What a lackluster embarrassing effort and preparation.
Well the year we went NIT under BCG we beat Texas at home and then lost by 35 @Texas so yes Lets face it ... When you play poorly, defend poorly, and the opponent shoots lights out on the road and is a top 15 team, it is not going to be pretty. Still think we can take them in CS, but we need to be able to be physical with their bigs or we have no shot
So sad to say it but even winning the NCAA championship may never net us a win in austin. Jesus Christ......
BCG games were impossible to gauge. The final score would be 45-52 TAMU, yet it would be a blow out on TAMU's part because the Aggie defense was crippling. A 7pt BCG lead could very well equate to an 18pt lead for an average coach. Speaking of BCG, did anyone catch his interview on 610 am this morning?
I have to give credit to texas for playing exceptional yesterday, shooting 57% from the field is impressive by any measure. Also, all of the early fouls put us in a deep hole early on and gave Texas a huge momentum boost. We have to win in CSTAT to recover.
As much as A&M struggles in Austin every year, I think Texas has struggled the same way in College Station the last several years. It's amazing how different both of these teams look on the other's home court.
This is very true and seems to happen all the time in College Basketball. Its been 6 years since Texas has won in CS and they are certainly capable of winning next Monday, but you have to believe its going to be closer for the simple fact that they are not going to shoot that well again and the Ags are going to be a little more comfortable and play better. I have to say this might be the best Texas team I've seen in quite a long time. The Durant team was fun to watch, but the depth on the current team and how hard they are playing this year on D is making this a very dangerous team.
The last team to win there, before Texas, was TAMU. We couldn't win anywhere that year. Good win though.
I think CS is a different environment as opposed to Kansas. For whatever reason, Texas just really struggles there. Today, KU struggled on their home floor (it wasn't all because of Texas' D) and every time the Horns play in CS, it seems like somebody is always going off for A&M.
Ugly win today, but I'd rather win ugly than lose pretty ... Khris played like a fish again today ... I think this team lost a lot of confidence in that Texas game ... Hopefully the week off helps and they can get it goin against Nebraska next week.
In this series, neither team can seem to win on the road. It has been a home and home split for so long now...it's uncanny. The game scares the hell out of me. There is something wrong with the A&M team right now where they are not playing well. It has gone on for 4 or 5 games. Hopefully the week off will give Turgeon time to correct it.
If J'Covan Brown has really turned the corner I don't think A & M has much of a chance. If A&M just has to stop Hamilton I expect a very close defensive game. This UT game seems to be very steady and will not panic in CS.
The guards aren't going to become scoring threats anytime soon. There's only so much hustle and defense can do, especially come tourney time when most other teams turn it up too. No legit guards leads to defenses focusing on everyone else and the Aggies getting boned. I wish Loubeau would develop faster. He has great touch and good footwork...he just rushes his moves and hasn't really shown great feel around the hoop yet. I really think he has big time scoring potential and it's frustrating to see him play like poopoo for long stretches.
Five minute spans without a field goal are pretty much the norm with this team. I'm not sure whether we're really putting our best starting five on the floor. Hibbert came in and hit some huge shots yesterday. Loubeau's disappointing season continues.
Well this team has regressed ALOT since that last Texas game ... Gotta have something happen to get confidence flowing again because this team looks lost out their now ... Ill be happy if we keep it close tomorrow ... Khris needs to get it going again and Dash needs to quit turning the damn ball over Cant wait until next year when we have Branch and Elston Turner in the backcourt
