UCONN playing good + Us playing bad = Very bad combination If Josh Carter can't hit the wide open 3s that hes been getting we are in big trouble. The whole team is playing rushed on offense and overplaying it on Defense. They need to calm down and just start playing basketball. This is going to get ugly if they panic.
Josh Carter has missed about 4-5 wide open shots. When he shoots like that we are capable of losing to just about anyone, let alone UCONN. The only consolation I have is that I don't care how good we play, we are not going to beat UCONN when they are playing as well as they are. They are not a good 3 point shooting team and they have been lights out. I think they are unbeatable by just about anyone in college basketball if they can shoot that well.
its not looking good at all guys. Still, 4 years in a row of 2nd round or better....not too shabby. I hope they can come out in the 2nd half and just let it loose here, just play basketball. go ags.
yeah, no kidding. I definitely won't be throwing anything around my parents living room. My dad's a buckeye, and fortunately he didn't catch their game last night. There definitely would have been some heart attacks.
Nope. We very well may rally and come up 6 or 8 points short. We did that several times this season already. See...Oklahoma (twice).
So what's the immediate future look like for the Aggies next year? The only senior they lose is Carter, but will they be better despite everyone else returning?
I'm not gonna make excuses for the score right now, but am I the only one who thinks that UCONN are getting EVERY SINGLE CALL possible? soft cheap "pushing" fouls on Davis and Elonu were complete B.S, Adriens is camping in the lane for 10 seconds and no whistle! (do they even have 3 secs in college?) .. and this is not the first time I've seen this lopsided treatment from the refs favoring UCONN.. I just found this article that's very alerting: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/17/sports/ncaabasketball/18fouls.html?_r=1&ref=sports I hate this douchebag Adriens, he thinks he's all that.. ugh!
maybe, but I certainly don't think the refs are going to have too much of an effect on the game at this point. UConn is just too much for us. That's what I'm seeing.
They've let UConn get away with a little more than us, but thats not uncommon for a favorite. Certainly hasn't had much effect on the result of the game. Thats for sure.
Is UConn better? Yes. And this may just be sour grapes, but they seriously have gotten every single foul call (or lack there of) in this game. They deserved to win the game off of the 61% shooting on the field. That is simply remarkable. But I just feel bitter about how poorly this game has been officiated. This could also be because I have to listen to the announcers that clear love UConn. They have not shown one A&M highlight for the duration of the game, and I just can't tolerate this. Once again, I am sure someone will read this and think I'm just complaining, but no. We we're out played. But we're we really given the chance to play? I do not believe we were.
I haven't really noticed any officiating bias, just terrible defense. Uncontested shots all over the place, people blowing by their man to get dunks, just awful defense. Gillispie rolling in grave...
Maybe you should tell your team to stop fouling then. A&M just isn't good enough to beat a 1 seed (and UConn is the weakest of the four 1 seeds).
Also probably the best offensive Aggie team in the last 4 years. Especially late in the season when they started to pull things together.
excuse me son, but we're having a discussion about our great team that's in the second round of the NCAA tourney.. you don't belong here, your thread about the NIT is the one under this one.. thank you
