I think this is going to be a 50-50 game today and its all going to depend on Josh Carter hitting shots and the whole team playing good D and not leaving those guards for open shots. Lets make it 4 years in a row with an NCAA Tournament win!
Freaking lunch meeting!!! Why couldn't we get an evening game. Hopefully we win so I can watch the next game. I really have no idea about BYU and how good they are. I've heard that they are actually better than their seeding, so hopefully we pull off the upset.
I changed my mind. TAMU is too physical for BYU and if TAMU can just get some of its outside firepower going they have the advantage.

BYU: moving screens, zone defense, grabbing and holding, smart passing, good shooting...it's like a combination of the 90's Sonics and Jazz teams...evil.
man that MMOD HQ is awesome .. Like watching Hi-Def on my computer. Great first half for the Ags, but you can tell that BYU is certainly capable of making a big run and we've proven that we are more than capable of tightening up and giving up a big lead. Gotta keep the gas on to start the next half and finish strong!
Let's see what we can do against Pitt. I think that the Pitt/Chat game is going to be interesting with a starter and coach missing for the Huskies. That throws off a team more than people think. Also, I believe 3 years ago, UConn almost lost to Niagara in a 1/16 game. Should be interesting.
We are not a good matchup for UCONN and I'm sure they would have rather seen BYU. That said, we are going to have to shoot lights out from 3 like we've done in some recent games, hit our FTs, and the hardest part is that Elonu and Davis are going to HAVE to stay out of foul trouble. That could be VERY difficult against Thabeet. I'm certainly not going to say we are going to win, but I think we actually have a better chance against UConn this year than we did last year against UCLA in Anaheim and we almost pulled that out. The good news for UConn is that if they can beat us, then its a good omen since the last 3 teams we've lost to in the tournament all went to the final four.
I haven't been watching UConn that much (not at all, actually).. but from what I saw, Hasheem isn't really all of that.. he's being unbelievably overhyped by BSPN. dude has no post game whatsoever, and he seems uncoordinated at times.. granted, the guy is huge at 7'3 and he is a great shot blocker, but he's a no body on the offensive end, not even on Oden's level.. I personally believe that comparing him to our own Dikembe is a blasphemous insult.. what do you guys think? and can you guys fill me in on the guards situation for UConn? their defense? can Sloan and Dash penetrate like they did today? man we're due for a freaking upset already.. I still have visions of last year stuck in my head.. please, b-ball gods, look upon us kindly!
