FML, seriously. I really hope they do something stupid and draft Jimmer with 3rd pick or trade down to get him.
They are actually in a really bad spot for them. The best 2 players after Kyrie, are both PFs, which the Jazz DON'T need at all. My guess if they don't get Kanter (I'm almost positive Twolves will take DWilliams), they will take: Jan Vesely OR Brandon Knight, both of which would be huge stretches @ the 3rd spot imo.
They need to trade it, unless they're high on Walker...they have # 12 as well...trade down to 5 and get Knight and if they like Jimmer they can get him at 12 or better yet, trade down to 14 :grin: This is their core, 26 and under. Hayward/Miles Millsap/Favors Jefferson/Fesenko Definitely need guards..
How can getting the 3rd pick be a bad spot? I'd rather have the 3rd pick and "reach" for Jan Vessly than wait at the 14th pick and hope that you can get a draft steal.
I assumed my point would be understood, but clearly not. You don't "win" in the lotto, every year, this was a bad time for them to win. OBVIOUSLY 3rd pick > 7th pick, or whatever they would've had, but I don't think it will make much of a difference because who the get @ the 3rd pick will be a reach for them, and could likely be had @ the 7th pick.
you guys are overestimating KHAN. he doesn't take the BPA. he drafts for need. he won't take williams or kanter because neither is a good fit next to love. he will go with a PG. KHAN also buys into hype (see rubio). kemba walker dominated the college field... this is who KHAN is getting a broner for. Jazz at #3 draft smart and take williams.
Can't trust Khan to draft correctly..Jazz will make out with Williams unfortunately. How did the Rockets get behind the Grizzlies, Jazz, and the Nuggets in rebuilding?
